saw the tour & it was great. haven't heard the cd yet but i will in a few days & i'll update this revue. they should have made it 2 discs, they played for over 3 hours. some great stuff is missing, immigration man( w/ both mexican & canadian flags as back drops at the show ), tree top flyer, almost cut my hair, ohio, an incredable rockin' the free world ending w/ an insane 4 man guitar melt down, even crosby was in on it. i'm sorry, i didn't mean to write a review of the showFree Music Review: Mike's review

I thoroughly enjoyed Deja Vu Live. The music is excellent. It reveals the band members' enthusiasm and true belief (particulary that of Neil Young) of what they're trying to get across.
I admire they they're taking a stand. This country is really screwed up, and somebody has to stand up and say something!

I don't get it. Some people are surprised that this disc is anti-war and anti-Bush? Gee, who would have thought that? This has always been their stand since they formed years ago. If you don't agree with their politics or stance on Bush or the war, don't listen to or buy the CD. All part of the freedom of choice.
That said, the music here is just OK. The 4 part harmonies of the past are completely gone now. Neil still sounds like Neil, but the other 3 can't harmonize anymore. Too bad. Also, some of Young's lyrics range from trite to just plain dumb. A few more songs from their vast catalog and less of the anti-war songs would really have livened this disc up.I'll just listen to my old Cd's of them and remember when.

I think Neil side tricked the guys into doing a unbalanced tour based on living at war where the tunes are so mediocre. i think this is why the performances are halfassed the boys were not that into it and it shows...neil sure was.....they need to stick to a show where its back to back great tunes...need a better back up band too...blah blah etc
