I have to admit I am a casual CS&Y fan at best. I have heard most of these songs over the years on the local FM radio stations in Pittsburgh for over 30 years now and I have to say this is a fantastic collection for someone like me. I have bought one CD previously from these guys and this purchase gives me all their FM staples all in one nice single CD collection. I am sure you die hard fans will find song selections that should be on here while others should not but for the money, RHINO has put out a very good CD for the summer driving with the windows down on a sunny day. Having Cathedral, Suite: Judy Blue Eyes, and Southern Cross on one collection made me buy it, what about you? The CD of theirs I have contains Dark Star which is not on here. Great song. If you've never heard of CSN and you want to get an idea what these guys are all about, pick this up. Granted, it doesn't have the classics with Neil Young, but that's all right. These guys rock as either a three piece or a four piece vocal band. You can enjoy some good old-fashioned folk/protest rock from one of the original bands that did that kind of music. There's a bit of everything here. I'm really too young to see these guys in their true heyday (call it '68 to early 80s), but they are still relevant 40 years after their debut album. LOL I was 5 years from being born when they released their debut. It's all good though. I'm someone who listens to almost every type of music out there and these guys just don't get old to listen to. Put this in, turn it up, and enjoy.Free Music Review: Get this and Deja Vu and You Have The Best CSN have done!

This compilation is the one that I have been waiting for for quite some time. In the past, we had to settle with "So Far" which of course didn't have anything from the later albums. This cd redresses that problem very well from the very nice cardboard packaging to the great booklet with liner notes to the very well remastered sound.
The track selections are also great except that some vital tracks from "Deja Vu" appear to be missing but that's okay if you get the remastered version of "Deja Vu" as well to compensate. CSN's music still sounds very good today with their beautiful harmonies and great songwriting, this is a must have in any music-lover's collection. Highly recommended!

I've owned every one of their CD's and enjoyed them all with the exception of the live 4-Way Street. This CD features all the cuts from all their great albums. Marrakesh Express, Suite:Judy Blue Eyes, Helplessly Hoping, Just a Song Before I Go, Our House, Teach Your Children..well..you get the idea. All these songs are my favorite CSN songs of all time and bring back some poignant memories. I like it because you don't have to bring 4 or 5 CDs out to hear all your favorite songs by this heavenly vocal group. As usual, Rhino's sound is superb and the extra full-color book features many pics, recording pesonnel and dates. If you only have room for one CSN CD...this has got to be the one. Even though Neil Young recorded with Crosby, Stills and Nash only sporadically, to cut him out of this collection entirely only serves to leave a gaping hole in the collection. That problem aside, this is a thoroughly satisfying collection of 19 of CSN's best loved songs, focusing on their first four studio albums: seven tracks from their essential 1969 debut CROSBY STILLS & NASH, three from their equally indispensible follow-up DEJA VU, five from 1977's CSN, and four from 1982's DAYLIGHT AGAIN. While this is essential music, it unfortunately is not everything you need by this influential group--you'll have to also purchase DEJA VU to complete this collection.
