Free Music Notes for Recurring Dream: The Very Best Of Crowded HouseFree Music Review: Caught me by Suprise Hit: 5 Stars
I had always admired certain songs by Crowded House from afar until I came upon this disk in a bargain bin. I figured that for a couple of bucks I could get a few songs that i would like. Wrong! This is a collection of exceptional quality. I listened to it at least once a day for a couple of weeks and it still sounded great. The concept is basically skewed power pop minus some of the power. I would strongly recommend this to anyone(even at full price!).
Free Music Review: Recurring listen Hit: 5 Stars
After getting this CD, I put it down for a long time, because I only listened to "Don't Dream It's Over." I recently picked it up again for the other music. THIS IS AWESOME!!!!!"Private Universe" and "Four Seasons In One Day" are two of the most inventive songs I have ever heard. "Fall At Your Feet" is so peaceful and soothing, and "Not The Girl You Think You Are" just makes perfect sense.
Free Music Review: Quite simply....awesomely captivating Hit: 5 Stars
If you buy one cd this year make sure its this one. This album has all the songs which made Crowded House the undisputed Kings of their generation. The live cd. moves it on to another level yet again with the likes of Fingers of Love swiftly followed by Don't Dream Its Over moving the listener out of this world to another plain of existence. If you fail to fall in love with Crowded House after listening...... there must be something wrong.
Free Music Review: A truly great collection. Hit: 5 Stars
This is my favorite album of all time. Almost every song is wonderful. Ironically, one thing that makes this CD so listenable is that Crowded House was not played on the radio nearly as much as they deserved. (Though they did chart a few hits.) Therefore, the songs have not grown stale due to overexposure. If you are a fan of the Beatles or Paul Simon you will love this album.
Free Music Review: A Terrific Best-Of for one of the World's Best Pop Bands! Hit: 5 Stars
Get this album right away and you won't be disappointed! Neil Finn is the epitome of songwriting genius, but Crowded House was a great band of terrific musicians: Paul Hester (drums), Nick Seymour (bass), and Mark Hart (guitar/keyboards) along with Neil. They are sorely missed in the disposal pop world of today. Luckily, we have this album to remind us how brilliant they were.
