Free Music Review: He's the King!
Hit: 5 Stars

After his success with the dance musical Hairspray, John Waters kept the beat going with his singing musical Cry-Baby. Waters, a longtime Elvis fan, wanted to make a genre parody of Elvis and juvenile delinquent movies. To create the character of Cry-Baby, he used the acting talents of young Johnny Depp (setting Depp on his career path of unusual roles) and the singing talents of rockabilly singer James Intveld. Alison similarly paired Amy Locane's acting with Hairspray veteran Rachel Sweet's singing. Cry-Baby's soundtrack is a fun, catchy collection of new rockabilly ("King Cry-Baby," "High School Hellcats"), sexy ballads ("Please, Mr. Jailer") and 50s novelty songs ("Rubber Biscuit") that any Drape would trade a set of hubcaps for.

Free Music Review: An Accurate Portrayal of the 1950s
Hit: 5 Stars

This soundtrack contains every song in the movie "CryBaby," so in that respect it is a must-have for anyone who loved the music in the movie. One thing that was a little dissapointing was the fact that some of the original movie songs were not the ones of the film, but rather studio versions by the people who voiced Johnny Depp and Amy Locane for the songs.
On the upside, all of the 1950s songs from the movie are here, and it is a great collection of fun rare oddities from the era, ranging from rockabilly pop to slow dance songs you would've never heard of otherwise. A classic either way.

Free Music Review: KING CRY BABY
Hit: 5 Stars

I love every single part of this movie. But I have to say, my favorite song on all this is the "King Cry baby" song. I found out what the real title for "Love that Girl" is, its "Gee" by The Crows, IM sad to see thats not on the album, oh well. Its a great soundtrack all together. A must buy for any Cry Baby fan. :) Enjoy!!!

Free Music Review: This album rocks!
Hit: 5 Stars

I am so in love with the movie and couldn't wait to get the cd you will not be dissapointed, the album contains ever single song from the movie, unlike other movies that short you a song or two from the soundtrack. but this album rocks and vocals on it are devilish and wonderful! you will love this album.

Free Music Review: Very Cool Movie...Very cool Soundtrack!!!
Hit: 5 Stars

This soundtrack is just as great as the movie! I love the rockabilly songs on it. My fave is "Highschool Hellcats" because it gets me so pumped and I just HAVE to swing dance to it. They play it a lot at the Casino where I go swing dancing. Johnny Depp is hot in the movie!
