This is an awsome album. Like all of the cures deluxe editon albums I would only recommend spending the extra money if you are a hardcore fan, otherwise stick with the less expensive single disc orignal cd. My personal favorite songs are One Hundred Years and Strange Days. The album may seem short with only eight tracks, but each song is long. I especially recommend this album to peopole who like the cures darker music(Seventeen Seconds, Desintegration, Bloodflowers).Free Music Review: One of my favorites.

Very gloomy like a psycho trip into a dark place where you curl up and die. Dont ponder on the lyrics just listen, far from a toothache you will find yourself in a comfy hypnotic coma. Not for everyone if you dont like the cure you will not like this it is probably the darkest. If you are a cure head like me since the wee early days you will love it. This is definitely one of the best Cure albums... it is definitive Robert Smith at his darkest. Well, maybe not as dark as Faith, but this record has more angst and rage. Definitely a top pick.
One of the best songs, The Figurehead, was recently covered by Mute Angst Envy on their album South 11th Street... I would recommend that one, too!

That is a personal opinion, of course. I feel this way because this album releases such a dark aspect of the band that I have not heard since. Seventeen Seconds and Faith paved the way for this album and it's just sad, somber and devastating, yet at the same time you feel so good listening to it, it is beautiful.Free Music Review: awesome

As I've said in my other reviews, nobody does self-pity like the cure, and this CD represents the best of their dark, moody style. The songs are great and emotional, and this edition has many demo and live versions that make for interesting listening. Fans of the proto-goth stylings of the Cure need to get this.
