That's right, it stinks. Bad singing, bad music. 'True colors' is not much better. However I think 'time after time' is brilliant, because it has TRUE melody and subtle singing. This is something Lauper should stick with more often. Of course "girls just wanna have fun" is a classic too. Sorry if I pissed anyone off but I had to express how bad 'When you were mine' is... Those flatulent horn sounds, the prefabricated beat... its BAD people. Buy an Aretha Franklin cd for real emotive singing on that order.Free Music Review: BEWARE--SOME HITS ARE ABSENT!!!

Yes, it's nice to finally have the Goonies song on a Cyndi Lauper compilation. However, the following tunes are missing:BOY BLUE(No. 71)
WHAT'S GOING ON(No. 12)
HOLE IN MY HEART(No. 54)
MY FIRST NIGHT WITHOUT YOU(No. 62)
If can live without these songs, this cd will suit you nicely. However, I think I'll just make my own Cyndi Lauper best-of disc so I can have all the hits in one place.

I bought this cd for the Girls just wanna have fun track. Of course its great. There are others that are good as well but for some reason the cd seems to be lacking something....oomph....its still good just not incredible....if you grew up on cyndi get it. Its still worth the price. Im not sad that I own it, just wish it were a little better.Free Music Review: Missing one of her best!

This collection is hardly "essential" when it is missing one fo Cyndi's greatest... "Hole In My Heart (That Goes All The Way To China)" from the movie, VIBES.
Though I'm sure she'd love to forget that film!

I waited a long time to purchase any of Cyndi Lauper's music and this was the first purchase. It was good, but I guess I expected it to be great after all these years. Not a bad purchase; just disappointing.
