I am glad that the GREAT and REAL singers are bouncing back. Ms. Lauper the DIVA bounces back and even stronger. I am glad the GOONIES is part of that collection! Where is SHINE? Guys buy this CD and enjoy it, because Cyndi's collection is one of the best of all DIVAS collect around (Cher collection can be compared with Cyndi's collection). One of the best collection of the DIVA. Finaly the GOONIES. If you are fan of Cyndi Lauper buy it, because the BEST of her is there. So bad SHINE and HIGH PLANE are not in this collection. What can I say, this album is a great Cyndi Lauper collection but I must say it could of been so much better. Cyndi has had some great hits over the years and alot of great tracks have been missed off this collection.Hole in my Heart(all the way to china) should of been included as it's never befor been featured on any Cyndi compilation CD. Great collection and the DIVA bouces back! Finnally the GOONIES. I Drove All Night blows Celine Dion out of space. Cyndi Lauper ESSENTIAL is for real one of the best collection ever. Great career-spanning collection. Most of her music is very good so trimming it down to a collection this small is very difficult.Cyndi's best recording ever and definitely essential is "The World is Stone". Trully allucinating vocals. Unfortunately it's not here but it's included in "Feels like Christmas" and "Best of Gold".
I agree that "Hole in My Heart(All the way to China)" should have been here. The cheapest alternative to getting it is "Hits of 1988"
