Free Music Review: Fav Album of all-time

I rarely ever give an akbum 5 stars, but Devils Night is amazing!!!
I loved D12 world, but this album murders it. I listened to Devil's Night for about 4 months non stop
and amazingly, u'll keep finding gems that u hadnt noticed the first time u heard it
there really is no bad track
Eminem is in a class of his own obviously, but especially Proof and Kon Artis actually give him some competition at times
Ill rate every song out of 10 and explain why
btw, a 10 is really hard to get in my book
1. PSA - bet u didnt see that comin did ya?
2. S*** Can Happen - Kon Artis is great at doing hooks, and Eminem closes a great track out. Perfect track to start the album. 8.5/10
3. Pistol Pistol - Dark Beat, Proof makes up for Eminem not having a verse 7.5/10
4. Bizarre - an intro for the next track
5. Nasty Mind - stupid, but funny. Swifty leads the track off really good, great beat too 7.5/10
6. Aint Nuttin but Music - Liked it a lot at first, but the beat gets annoying. Good hook 7/10
7. Amerucan Phsycho - Simply Amazing track. I actually didnt like it at all at first, but now its one of my favs. Dre's beat is incredible, Eminem has his best verse of the album, and Kon Artis closes out the track with style 9/10
8. That's How (skit) - intro for next track
9. That's How - Kinda weak beat and no Eminem would usually scare people off, but this track is funny as hell and they pass the mic like every 4 lines so the track stays fresh 8/10
10. Purple Pills - What can I say? You've all heard it. Great Track, great beat, great outro 8.5/10
11. Fight Music - Quite Possibly my all-time favorite track. Every member (including Bizarre)blows u away. beat is dark and the hook starts the track off perfectly. Kon Artis might have his best ever work on this track. But when you hear EMinem on this one, you can see that even the best of the other members is killed by Eminem's flow and lyrics 10/10
12. Instigator - Maybe the weakest track on the album. D12 let Swifty take over on this one. Unfortunately, the beat doesnt fit Swifty's fast flow. still a good track, just has a tough act to follow 6.5/10
13. Pimp Like Me - A short dip in quality. and then this... simply amazing. Swifty's best verse on the album. And Kuniva actually outdoes Proof and Kon Artis. Bizarre ruins the end unfortunately. Best beat on the album 9.5/10
14. Blow my Buzz - At first i thought this was one of the worst moments in hip-hop history, but then it grew on me. YOU CANT TAKE THIS TRACK SERIOUSLY. its just fun. and it really is hilarious 7/10
15. Obie Trice - GO BUY OBIE'S ALBUM "CHEERS". NOW!!
16. Devil's Night - Good Beat and EMinem is fantastic in the opening verse, but then unfortunately goes down after Eminem's done. STill a great song, with a great hook 8/10
17. Steve Berman - Sets up the hilarious Steve Berman skit on the Eminem show
18. Revelation - I really did not like this track at first, but now it might be my 2nd fav on the album. The hook is a bit annoying and the beat isnt memerable, at first. But it grew on me. Proof is amazing on this track and the lyrics overall on this track are the best on the album 10/10

It's no surprise that Slim Shady evokes such conflicted feelings--he's easy to champion and disparage alike, and this new D12 album doesn't make the decision any easier. Though hip-hop's pale wonder is now joined by his five, conspicuously black Detroit peers, this still sounds and feels like a Marshall Mathers project. The biting disses of MTV pop figures ("Ain't Nuttin' But Music")--still there. The dark journeys into faux psychosis ("American Psycho," "Devils Night")--still there. The big middle finger at conservatives, conformists, and critics ("That's How," "Purple Pills," "S*** Can Happen")--still there. And throw in Dr. Dre's production alongside Denaun Porter's lumbering funk tracks and Em's own beats, and this is basically the third Eminem album. Besides, he's still the most interesting of the six D12 members to listen to--slicker lyrics, better flow, and just a more engaging personality. Which, of course, is telling the listener to go to hell. Bottom line: If you liked the last two Eminem albums, this one won't disappoint. And if you hated the last two, at least you have the other D12 members to distract your attention. --Oliver Wang
