Free Music Notes for Devil's Night

Free Music Review: Pure Talent
Hit: 5 Stars

Just as stated in earlier reviews, this album is partially a continuation of the Marshall Mathers LP. Eminem takes the helm in some songs, sometimes seeming to peruse this album as his opportunity to vent a few well-directed jabs at his "enemies," before he can fill up another album of his own with humor and shock-rap. All said, D-12 seems to be as lyrically talented as Eminem, obviously throwing in a few violent references to up the ante or to possibly begin a battle with a variety of people, including the media and the usual targets like Britney Spears. This album won't be for everyone, but for those who like to kick back and enjoy blazin' beats, hilarious skits, and rhymes that catch us off guard and make us hit the rewind button, this album is more than just a supplementary filler until Eminem gets back into the studio for his next record.

Free Music Review: if you liked eminem's first 2 albums you'll like this one
Hit: 5 Stars

I bought this album on Sunday just about 4 days before this review.... i kind of gotten a little worried... becuase i thought i won't like it... but i did like it... the best song in the whole album is american psycho, devil's night and of course the single that made us buy o thinking of buying this album.. purple pills... of course in the music video it's called purple hills... and well on the final song girls ( which only features eminem on the song..... Slim Shady not only bad mouth's all his girl enemies, but bad mouth's limp bizkit.... and why? because Fred Durst's duet with Cristina Aguilera at the 2000 Mtv Video Music Awards got Eminem all P***ed..... but overall i give 5 stars becuase it's great....some of you may disagree or agree but don't count D12 out.... it may be worthy of a grammy or 2 or maybe album of the year... arriba la raza de Eminem

Free Music Review: D12 Album debut a hit with help from Eminem....?
Hit: 5 Stars

Controversial rap artist, Eminem has done it, yet again. This time, Eminem is back and he brought twelve of his closest friends with him. The Detroit 12, also known as D-12, has made the summer 2001 album Devil's Night, a huge success. Already attained platinum status, D-12 has been on the Billboard 200 chart for a total of 13 weeks.
With there hit single "Purple Pills," Eminem and the D-12 have smashed charts on MTV's popular show Total Request Live and continues to show strength. This album, filled with great beats and humorous lyrics that will entice any hip hop/rap fan. Due to their explicit lyrics, this album should not be purchased by younger children due to its sexual content, violent behavior, and other content inappropriate for younger listeners. Rap fans should not stay away from this if they are a fan of other eminem albums.

Free Music Review: The best rap album of the year
Hit: 5 Stars

Well, Em & Co have done it again. D-12's "Devil's Night" is beautifully constructed melange of eclectic beats, outrageous lyrics, and biting satire. While Em sprouts off his usual brilliant rants, the rest of the crew compliments him perfectly with their own, hillarious rhymes. Be warned: the underlying critique of modern media and illustration of teenage angst are immersed in a veritable swamp of profanity, sexually-deviant references, and violent lyrics. Nevertheless, the album's brilliance lies in its versatility. Take it as a social critique, or use it for a laugh. The drug-anthem "Purple Pills" will "lift" your spirits, and the heart-wrenching, head-banging "Revelation" takes a sobering look into the mind of a suicidal teen. But while the tracks are varied, there is one consistency: the rap is dope.

Free Music Review: D-12's Debut
Hit: 5 Stars

Alright now a lot of you people put down D-12 just 'cause Em is in it. But here's the thing, Eminem is not the whole group! There are 5 other very talented rappers in this group. Bizarre (definately the one that will shock and offend you the most with his "bizarre" rhymes), Proof (R.I.P.), Swifty, Kuniva, and Kon Artis. D-12 has been through 2 deathes (Proof, and late member Bugz who passed before production even began on this album) but still going strong. They are a very talented group and this CD is definately worth the cash. However if you don't like cuss words, stay the hell away from this CD. If you are easily offended, stay away from this disc. If you don't like Em, stay away. Basically if you don't like rap, STAY AWAY FROM THIS ALBUM.

R.I.P. Proof and Bugz, may you give strength to the rest of D-12 to continue recording.
