Free Music Review: One helluva sonic journey

This album was perfectly placed in-between Magik 4 and 6. It bridges the gap between the classic trance sound of Magik 4 and the progressive trance feel of Magik 6. It of course starts off with a deeply grooveable number, "Eternity" and mixes so well into "No More Tears." "Cryptomnesia" follows and it continues the emotional journey, before Tiesto changes up the selection into the very sexy "Fiji." Tiesto goes back to selecting some very rhythmic and deeply patterned numbers, some of my favourites in this are Yahel's "Open Your Mind" and Eve's "Riser." I really like Angela DeNiro's "State of Mind," but what just took a crap on tracks 12-13??? In particular, DJ Meryln's "Krass" has to be the lowest point of this album, and really these tracks break up what should be a very enjoyable journey. Take out tracks 12-13, and just go straight to Oliver Lieb's number because it builds up to two of the arguably greatest numbers to end an album-- Supernova and Airwave. "Airwave" of course you know, is a classic. But Transa's production "Supernova" is one underrated sonuva gun.
Tracks 12-13 really hurt the production for me, but giving this album 4 stars would really be a travesty because the other tracks more than make up for those two tracks.
This Magik isn't perfect, but even Natalie Portman has an imperfection--- at least I think!
