Free Music Notes for Homework

Free Music Review: Very Funkadelik...whatever that means...
Hit: 5 Stars

I've listened to Daft Punk since 1998. That's like 6 years so far. The new album, Daft Club (Basically a remix album) was kind of so-so. Discovery was great. But the first DP...HOMEWORK ruled! My fav tracks on it is ''Around the World'' and ''Teachers''. 'Teachers' is weird, but the music is pretty darn good. Anyways, here is how I thought about ''Homework'':

1) Daftendirekt - 9/10 - Very good beginning and end. Enjoyable. You'll like it.
2) WDPK 83.7 FM - 8/10 - Extremly short, but okay.

3) Revolution 909 - 8/10 - This song reminds me of Da Funk. It's good.
4) Da Funk - 9/10 - Great track. Good music video, too.
5) Phoenix - 5/10 - So-so
6) Fresh - 6/10 - Awkward. But, it beats 'Phoenix'.
7) Around the World - 10/10 - Perfect song. I really loved it!
8) Rollin' & Scratchin' - 3/10 - Flat out, blew the album.
9) Teachers - 10/10 - Funny. Weird. Insane. Cool.
10) High Fidelity - 9/10 - No comments. Because it is that good.
11) Rock 'N Roll - 0/10 - No comments. Because it is that crappy.
12) Oh Yeah - 10/10 - Loved it alot. But, not one of my favorites.
13) Burnin' - 7/10 - I dunno.
14) Indo Silver Club - ?/10 - Never heard it.
15) Alive - 8/10 - Cool song.
16) Funk Ad - 8/10 - Sort of like Da Funk. Rewinding it though.

Thanx for reading my review! =^ ^=

Free Music Review: Revolutionary
Hit: 5 Stars

Before I start the review I must state the following -BUY THE CD.

Now,

Daftendirekt- 4/5 stars Not a bad beginning, leads straight into WDPK

WDPK 83.7- 4/5 The sound of tomorrow. the Music of today

Revolution 909- 5/5 Dance music, straight out. Not much other than a heavy bass beat but extremely good even then.

Da Funk- 5/5 Song that made Daft Punk what it is, excellent. Fast, acidy, Jimi Hendrix with a synthesizer. If you like it, I suggest you check out the Chemical Brothers remix.

Pheonix- 4/5 Good song, immediately likeable.

Fresh- 4/5 Like Pheonix, excellent also.

Around the World- 6/5 Best on the CD. Seven minutes of delirium. DO NOT LISTEN TO THE REMIX

Rollin' and Scratchin'-1/5 Skip, thats all I have to say

Teachers-4/5 Wierd, but I like it.

High Fidelity- 3/5 Solid, definetly not bad.

Rock and Roll- 0/5 Even worse than Rollin' and Scratchin', lowest point on album

Oh Yeah- 5/5 I think this song is not generally liked, however I don't see what they are talking about, awesome. One of the few songs that was fun to listen to the first time through

Burnin'- 2/5 Not extremely great, but bearable

Indo Silver Club- 5/5 Great dance song

Alive- 3/5 Ok

Funk Ad- 4/5 Why couldn't they add this on to Da Funk? Not bad, a little short

Free Music Review: An Instant Classic Album for Eons to come.
Hit: 5 Stars

Whaaa!!! Yeah!!!

Homework is all good. Homework is mostly Techno, but even those who hate Techno will like Homework because it is catchy and revolutionary as other reviewers have already reported. Homework actually made Techno mainstream for awhile and the beats will have you up and dancing around in no time.

To be honest I flung their other album Discovery out the window. I was totally disappointed that they had gone for 70s retro music instead of sticking to what they do best - catchy techno tunes that evolve the industry, however people might like that other one but I certainly did not.

Homework is probably one of the all time great Techno albums if not the greatest techno album of all time. It can easily sit beside Paul Oakenfold's Traceport as the best electronica/trance/techno/dance album out there but Oakenfold would probably be second best because he was just a DJ and these boys cooked up their own tracks.

In fact Homework stands out in a world of its own. It is almost like a compilation of all the best techno tunes but is in fact all original tunes from a very original duo.

This is a must for any collection. Even classical music listeners will throw this one on for the sheer originality of it all. Yes, Beethoven and Mozart would be proud!

Free Music Review: I JUST LOVE IT!!!!
Hit: 5 Stars

I bought "Homework" after getting "Discovery" (a little over a year now), and was blown away! This album exceeded my expectations, and this was their first effort? I didn't believe it! My fave tracks are "Revolution 909", "Da Funk", "Around the World", and "Rollin' and Scratchin'". When someone mentions Daft Punk, especially "Homework", those are the tracks that come to mind.

Because I live in Chicago, I heard "Around the World" on the radio in a club mix a while ago, when I was in junior high school, and you wouldn't believe the nostalgia that came flooding back to me when I heard the track. I damn near had a heart attack; then proceeded to dance with my sister, who was in the room with me. My aunt heard it, and told me, "This sounds just like the music we used to dance to in high school and college!" And for her, that was a good...15-20 years ago!

I also listened to "Daft Club" before listening to "Homework", and I prefer this one.

If you like techno music, get this. If you like club/dance music, get this. If you like Daft Punk, get this. Heck, if you like music, get this. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!!!

Free Music Review: house beats, grooves, and tunes!
Hit: 5 Stars

to start off, buy this cd. you may have heard ppl talk about the discovery albume; daft punk running around in robot costumes, but thats another story. this is simply faster than discovery. the songs on "homework" are longer, more repetetive, and faster; though it is all house. you may think it sounds like disco, well your right. this albume is disco-house/techno, so if you live in a place where there are not that much techno, you will stand out (like me). the best songs on this cd are: "revelution 909", "da funk", "around the world", "high fidelity", and "burnin'" "around the world" is an intense song; it says around the world for 7:00 so there is your warning. "burnin'" uses the same record scratch for 6:00. "revelution 909" uses the same bass bat for 5:00, and "da funk" uses the same scratch rhythem for 5:00.another good song is "indo silver club" its really good, like the rest. so with all that said, make your own decision. my option would be buy it, if you, put it on the net for auctions :-) **beat, not bat! sorry
