Free Music Notes for Human After AllFree Music Review: Daft Punk are back with a vengence, and they are rockin' !!! Hit: 5 Stars
I have to say people stop dissing this cd and give it more of a listen. If you say this cd is repetitive your missing the point of daft punk, the music is to dance to, and some people like me can sit and a room and groove to it. Human After All is a departure from Discovery and Homework, but that being said I'm glad they are keeping the music fresh and different by changing it up in their style of play, I mean Indo Silver Club from Homework, is diffrent from aerodynamic from Discovery right? Alot of the songs on the cd are great I love Robot Rock, the guitar riffs are great, technologic, this song kinda makes think of Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger that being said its great, Prime Time of Your Life is really good but I really don't care for about halfway through it, and its name sake Human After All is great. Thats just a sample of the songs the rest are awesome. If you love daft punk, or just want something different and creative, give this one a try anddon't forget to try their old stuff as well such as Discovery and Homework!!!!
Free Music Review: Thats What Daft Punk Is! Hit: 5 Stars
"It's back to the basic loops, repeatative over-long tracks, and minimalist dirty synths." ... THATS WHAT DAFT PUNK IS! I'M TIRED OF PEOPLE EXPECTING ANOTHER "AROUND THE WORLD" or "DA FUNK" WITH EVERY NEW RELEASE!
"Human After All" (8/10) 90's pop beat going on but still good. also progressive. Theres a lot climax to these songs I've noticed.
"The Prime Time of Your Life" (8/10) has a weird progressing fast speed tempo ending but still alright.
"Robot Rock" (8/10) Very Daft Punk.
"Steam Machine" (9/10) Dig the bass in this song a lot.
"Make Love" (10/10) One for the heart! Reminds me a lot of their Discovery album also.
"The Brainwasher" (9/10) Hardcore beat writen all over it.
"On/Off" (NA/10) not really a song.
"Television Rules the Nation" (6/10) Its okay.
"Technologic" (5/10) not for everyone but still fun.
"Emotion" (7/10) more of chill out song.
Free Music Review: Daft Punk Hit: 5 Stars
After reading close to most of these reviews it has become clear that most of you, not all. But most are probably into electronic music just for the scene and not because you enjoy the music.
Some of you have gone crazy reviewing this album as if Daft Punk did "you" wrong. When they were simply doing what they do best experimenting. Before any of you go reviewing this Album as "The Worst Daft Punk Album EVER!" Please check out everything that they have to offer including DVD's and Thomas Bangalters Roulé label. Then listen to Homework and Discovery one more time and tell me there is not repetitiveness already in these two albums but maybe because your mind is just all wrapped up in the wacky synth effects and vocoders you can't actually pick them.
To sum it all up Daft Punk are different and repetitive. Don't listen to Human After All expecting classy happy beats like you're favorite album, Discovery.
Free Music Review: Contender for best of three Hit: 5 Stars
I guess I have no idea what people are looking for when they listen to a Daft Punk album. I'm a sometime fan of ambient, electronica, rock, house, and 80s pop, as best I understand those genres.
For my money, Human After All is a close second to Homework, and both beat the apparently more popular Discovery, hands-down. And I'm a huge fan, even if I rarely like everything on any given album.
Human After All, Robot Rock, and Television Rules the Nation, these three tracks are by themselves worth the price of the album. And while I can take or leave Make Love and Emotion as ambient pop, and find Technologic and On/Off trite, the remaining three tracks are also great listening material.
In other words, though I may give only 3.9 stars on average to the songs on the album, you don't need 10 great tracks for a 5-star album. Six will do.
Free Music Review: Wow? Hit: 5 Stars
This album is tricky......
If you are a first timer to electronica or daft punk this album is not for you. If you are a fan of daft punk you will either love this or hate it. Like with anything daft punk does they always try something different for every album they pump out. Most people claim that the album is repetitive and boring. What people forget is that this album is more of a statement than a album. When daft punk made this album they were trying to find where human emotions reside in music or something like it.
This album is very hard to like but if you keep listening to it, after awhile it starts to grow on you.
If you have listened to their past hits and are thinking about buying this then I would suggest that you wait for ALIVE 2007. You will probably like these songs alot more mixed up with other hits live than in 5min repetitive loops.
