Dan Zane is one of the best children's musicians out there today!! His music is a diverse and wonderful mix of songs. Both parent and child will find themselves crooning to the songs over and over again. Zane uses folk, classic rock, funk, cajun, etc. to make an album that will broaden your child's cultural horizon. My seven year old daughter and two year old son are completely hooked on Dan Zanes, but not nearly so much as I am! I listen to Dan whether they're in the car or not. We like to sing along or play our kazoos -- sometimes we even manage to stay in tune! I am enjoying the music more than my kids. The music has a fun groove to it and i play it in the kitchen while I work. The singing is not always the best, but there is a charm to the whole disk that goes further then the tone of the voice on a few songs. I don't mind going to bed with a song or two stuck in my head.Free Music Review: Can't get it out of my head!

Noggin and the other reviews here on Amazon did not let me down on this purchase. My nine-month-old son loves this CD and I do too! I'm ashamed to say that I steal this CD from my son every chance I get! It is a very nice blend of catchy tunes, some of which I haven't heard in a very long time. We're all enjoying the mix of music and musicians - fun and upbeat with surprises like Deborah Harry and songs sung in Spanish and with African roots. Dancing and singing along, my 7 month old thinks I'm crazy and loves being "be-bopped" around the living room. Would make a great gift.
