Free Music Review: The Dandy 5 Stars

This is one of the best CDs i've heard in a few years maybe since Ok Computer(radiohead), and The Dandy Warhols Come Down... all the songs are very good. With Radiohead doing some electronic i could say the Dandys are the best rock band right now... Some times they sound like Beatles, Stones or some other 60s-70s band, that mix of music and Taylor's lyrics make this album the best of the Dandy's... Bohemian like you, Gospel, Big Indian, Godless and Get Off are the best... sooner or later the DAndys will become a mainstream band cause they are so talented, its a shame that some radio stations prefer to (play)... Limp (Bizkit) than this pop-rock band... the extra CD its good wich include "...last junkie...","love you" live... like some other reviews says: buy it RIGHT Music Review: Near perfection
Hit: 5 Stars I downloaded this record from itunes. It also has 4 bonus tracks for a total of 17 songs. The 4 bonus tracks are, in my opinion, just as good as the other 13 and enhance the record 4 fold! What's a little strange is that the bonus songs have no title, other than "Bonus Track 1, Bonus Track 2", etc. If anyone who is more familiar with the Dandy's work than I am and knows the titles, drop me a line!
This record is a complete recording...a classic that deserves to be in anyone's record collection. If you like great rock and roll, buy this. A lot of comparisons have been made that the Dandy's rip-off Iggy and the Stones, but the truth is, Iggy and the Stones didn't come out with these great songs- the Dandy's did! I will be listening to this one regularly. Play it loud!

Free Music Review: There will never be another like it.....
Hit: 5 Stars

All i can say is if you are going to buy one cd for the year buy this one. I have listened to it for 2 weeks straight and i still continue to love it, and amazingly i'm not sick of it. Courtney Taylor is amazing, he is beyond talented, every song he uses a different singing tecnique and pulls it off with amazment. In the last two songs he sounds like Tom Petty (big indian) and Thom Yorke from Radiohead (the gospel). While listening to this album it makes me want to go hang out in San Francisco or some art community, the music goes so beautifly with the envionment. Well if anything is to be said all i have to say is, nothing can compare to the beauty of this album, the tranquility it sends out and the total bliss it makes me feel while listening to it. Peace....

Free Music Review: If You Want to Know What Excellence Sounds Like
Hit: 5 Stars

...Pop this baby on and become immersed in the first two tracks, "Godless" and "Mohammed". They flow so well together you may not even realize the song has changed, though they sound quite different. It's difficult to explain. Then stay for the rest of this landmark "indie rock" album, which makes that term look good. This has been a personal favorite since I was maybe 15 years old (a full ten years ago) and my opinion of it rises every time I listen to it. Timeless and unforgettable, don't miss this one! On a side note, if you're like me you're only familiar with the popular track here, "Bohemian Like You", and should be prepared to marvel in just how diverse this album is. It bounces from light-hearted to incomprehensibly ambitious in a flash. You'll see...

Free Music Review: life is good
Hit: 5 Stars

It has been so long since a CD has moved me to writing. Usually there are three, maybe four, tracks that I like and the rest is, well, boring or worse. Not so with Thirteen Tales From Urban Bohemia. The band's ability to shift from one style to the next suggests a sophistication not seen enough in current popular music and, even more rare these days, the band brings creative effort to every track. Nothing sounds cranked out from a formula that worked for them before. Not only did I appreciate the freshness, wit and edge to Urban Bohemia, I was absolutely floored at what I can only describe as an hommage to the New York Dolls in "Bohemian Like You" followed by an hommage to Iggy Pop in "Back Off." Brilliant!
