Free Music Review: I Laughed so Hard, I Cried

As an avid Dane Cook fan, I went out and bought this lovely cd/dvd combo the day it was released...and I wasn't at all disappointed. This cd is actually a re-release of a cd Dane had available to buy on it website (which I bought months ago). So despite being familiar with nearly all the material on the cd, with the exception of a hysterical bonus track, I still laughed my ... off. Tracks 18, 19, and 22 remain my favorites (Just Wanna Dance, Head, and Not So Kool-Aid, respectively) and the bonus track is a guaranteed knee-slapper. Dane is a very animated and physical comic and the dvd does a great job of showing this. The uneditted version of his Comedy Central Presents special is almost worth the price of whole set alone. This is when the tears started spurting from my eyes; it was just that funny. If his bits about Catholic mass, car accidents, board games, and his ex-girlfriends don't have you rollin' in the aisles, then you, my friend, don't have a soul. Harmful if Swallowed is perfect for any comedy fan. Dane is a comic genius. Plus, you get a cd AND a dvd for the price of just one cd. It's a great deal. I first saw Dane Cook on Comedy Central like most people, and he won me over from the start. I immediately searched amazon to see if he had a comedy cd out. Once i saw "Harmful If Swallowed" was out i instantly bought it without hesitation.The cd itself is absolutely hilarious!!! My favorite tracks are his rants on how uncool Kool-Aid is and the quiet pickles lady at the "BK Lounge" drive-thru. It's the best to listen to any time, anywhere. Especially when sitting in traffic, it'll put a big smile on your face. If anyone tries to cut you off you won't be cursing, you'll be laughing when u catch yourself saying "ummm... helllllooooo???!, ummm hiii???!!" as Dane points out on the cd.
I've demanded my friends to watch the dvd and every single one has cried from laughter. It's got an unedited version of his comedy central special, with ALOT of deleted jokes - which i was surprised were cut from the show b/c they are way too funny!! I, myself, can't sit through it without my stomach hurting by the end. Do yourself a favor and buy this cd/dvd combo. It's a great deal and the comedy never gets tired or old after a few plays! GO BUY IT!
