Dane Cook is the hottest comic around that you may not know. This CD/DVD is hilarious. There are 24 tracks on the cd and I promise you'll be in tears by the end of it. The DVD is packed with almost 2 hours of video, including a full one-hour UNCUT stand-up performance that made it on Comedy Central. Dane gives 110% at every performance and does everything to make his fans laugh. I don't care if you have to beat up your nana that cheats at monopoly to get the $ for this CD/DVD, you need to hear this. The art on the actual cd's is worth the money...I laughed out loud when I saw it. Dane will have you rolling on the floor by the end of his performance. Forget Chris Rock, Forget Mitch Hedburg, Forget Jerry Seinfeld...Dane Cook is the comedian for a new generation...Check this out. You'll be quoting with your friends after the first time you listen to it.-MFC

When my friend told me about this comic named Dane Cook that she saw at her school, I was skeptical about listening to his stuff. That all changed when I saw his Comedy Central special and bought the original CD. I had never laughed so hard, and I am very critical when it comes to comedians. It's great to hear someone young talk about things I can completely relate to. I ran and bought the CD/DVD the first day and had to watch. Watching Dane live is 100x funnier than the CD, he is just such a physical comedian and is so animated. I also saw Dane recently at Caroline's in NYC, and died laughing. I even met him after the show and he is super sweet. I have turned several of my friends onto Dane and it becomes a chain reaction. I hope one day everyone will discover the genius of this comic. I had so much trouble getting a hold of one of these. I went to every music store in the freakin' mall and asked them if they had it and most of them just looked at me with a puzzled look on their face and said "whaaaaa????" But anyways I finally found the dang thing at Coconuts. Woot, shameless shilling. It was definitely worth the search. The cd is BEYOND HYSTERICAL. I actually had to pause certain tracks on it, because I was laughing so hard I couldn't breathe. Dane Cook is a comedical genius. Just when I thought I was done having laugh attacks I put in the dvd and was rolling on the floor laughing at that. And ladies, how cute is he? Especially the picture on the cd. Rarr! Full on scorchcake. "Harmful If Swallowed" is definitely the total comedy package. Throw all your other comedy stuff away. NOW! Dane Cook has quickly become one of my favorite comics. I agree with the very smart 17 year old reviewer who observes that it is Dane's raw energy that makes him so entertaining. I can see why someone who didn't grow up in the United States wouldn't get his humor... it's very American. But not all Americans like British humor either.
The thing I like about Dane's humor is that even if you hear the same joke twice, he doesn't tell it the same way, so it always stays fresh. I listened to both this and Retaliation twice in three days and laughed as hard the second time listening as I did the first time listening.
He's a great storyteller, and he's got a unique delivery style that is natural and refreshing. I don't know about a Comic God, but he's definitely a Comic Rockstar.

Hey you may not like him, but for those of you that think that just because you're older you can't enjoy his humor-maybe its you that needs to grow up. Its true hes not a comical genius quite yet, but clearly he has some talent. I agree with one of the previous reviews, he knows how to tell a story and make it even better. But isn't that a big part of comedy? Knowing how to deliver a piece! Personally, I truly believe that he is absolutely hilarious. Kudos for tapping into the TWENTIETH century! Why can't we just accept that society is getting morally corrupt, so instead of complaining-start moving along with it, honestly. Love him, loved this DVD, great overall. Its like everyone else says-careful to listen to it in the car, you really just might get into an accident from laughing haha
