I was fortunate enough to see Dane on the Tonight show with Jay Leno a few years ago. Usually the comics on there will make you chickle a little bit, but not Dane. That was probably the funniest five minutes of comedy on a talk show I ever saw. I then forgot about it until someone mentioned him about a year ago.The DVD is what I really bought this for, since Dane is such a visual comic. If you don't see him on TV or live first, the CD is still great, but better when you can imagine the kind of whacky stuff he does on stage.
I recommend going to catch him live, it is well worth money. I am fortunate enough to live 2 hours away from Boston, MA, where he performs about 5 times a year at the Comedy Connection. This CD/DVD will hold me over just fine until I am able to go again this year.

Dane Cook is THE funniest man in the buisiness...here are his other stars that he deserves... this CD has so much good stuff you would be crazy not to buy it... i have his CD from his website that i bought a while ago and i listen to it at least once a week and it is funnier every single time... everytime i am in my car and i say 'ummm... hello' i start laughing so hard i think i might crash the car... he makes everyday things absoulty halarious... this man is so talented you will be amazed... that whole thing about the bathroom made my no-fun mom cry from laughter... IM SORRY BUT THIS MAN IS A GENIUS. why are some people giving this such a bad review and saying its for 12 year olds. have you no sense of humor, man? this is true comedy. its observational comedy to the extreme. everything he says is so funny and so true and just the way he describes something is so funny i can totally relate to him. THIS CD WILL MAKE YOU BUST A RIB. DANE COOK IS THE GOD OF DONT FORGET IT!!!!!! this cd is a masterpiece and everyone needs to hear it. IM STARTING A DANE COOK CULT WHO WANTS TO JOIN. lol. if you wanna laugh your @$$ off then get this. and DONT LISTEN TO THE BAD REVIEWS. I have been a fan of Dane Cook's for years. This CD and DVD capture the essence of the comedic genius that is Dane Cook. Any fan of comedy in general should buy this CD/DVD combo. The CD will make you laugh out loud and possibly bring you to tears. It is great because you get an hour of listening pleasure from the CD and then you get hours of visual and listening pleasure from the DVD. The DVD has his performance from Comedy Central's ½ hour special as well as the unedited hour long version of it. It is interesting to watch both and see what Comedy Central kept for the television show and what they cut out. Some of the funniest footage on the DVD is the Comics Come Home clip where Dane discusses the signs that you know a fight is going to start. Dane Cook may no be a genius, but his comedic routine is special because of the raw energy he brings to comedy. Whether or not he is a genius his material is original and those who laugh at his jokes are truly "get" comedy. He brings comedy into a very introspective but understandable realm delving into memories almost all americans have experienced, and he just simply makes them funny (i.e Not so Kool Aid; Slip and Bleed; etc.)
And on the IQ note I am a 17 year old with a 141 IQ (3 shy of genius), but I still appreciate this comedy because I would rather laugh about Public restrooms, than burning of american flags (bill hicks). Part of intelligence is understanding and if you cannot appreciate the talent that is dane cook, than you are truly the narrow-minded dunce
