Free Music Notes for Dangerous Beauty: Original Motion Picture ScoreFree Music Review: THE FILMSCORE THAT CHANGED MY LIFE! Hit: 5 Stars
The film score to "Dangerous Beauty" is the piece de resistance from its brilliant English composer George Fenton. It is undoubtedly, the finest work of his career and quite simply "the world's most exquisite music." This rapturous score brought me back to LIFE. It inspired me in so many creative, spiritual and physical ways (I even lost 50 lbs by listening to it while walking!) The music starts out in a nostalgic mood and in turn, becomes playful, hopelessly romantic, adventurous, bittersweet, heartbreaking, joyous, and majestic! It carries you from simple guitar lines to passion-filled love themes, bright march tempos that compel one to laugh & DANCE; lilting contrapuntal tunes, tension-building rhythms, royal flourishes of brass, haunting melodies and a full orchestral finale. I have listened to this magnificent music EVERY SINGLE DAY since its debut and I NEVER get tired of it! It ALWAYS fills my heart with love and sends my spirit upwards! I pray you will have the blessing & opportunity to share it with YOUR soulmate. Perhaps, it will change your life, too.
Free Music Review: Perfect souvenir, 'cause the tracks are in order! Hit: 5 Stars
This is the soundtrack for one of my favorite movies of all time. While the music is gorgeous, the highest praise I can give this particular album is this: the music on the album is in the order in which it is heard in the film. Most scores are mixed up, probably for aesthetic reasons, but that can make it hard to line up the music to the film. This score CD is in order, so when I listen to it, it tells the story. So when you hear "Second Poetry Duel" after "First Poetry Duel," you know why, and the music follows.
Now, if you haven't seen the movie, the music here is still perfectly wonderful, sweeping and romantic. The score is pleasant and light, evoking Renaissance Venice (though the music itself isn't particularily period) and doesn't crash over your head. I recommend it highly, along with the film for which it was written.
Free Music Review: One Of The Most Touching Scores Ever! Hit: 5 Stars
It's amazing it has been some time since I wrote my last review for Amazon.com, and it's so great to come back with my opinion about what I think has been one of the most touching scores I've listened to ever: George Fenton's "Dangerous Beauty." This score presents us a main theme so richly Italian in nature since the setting for this movie is Venice. There is another lovely theme that showcases the impossible love between Veronica and Marco, the two protagonists of the movie; it's heartbreaking and wonderful. And let's not forget the playful tune that describes the poetry duels. This score is so full of adorable themes and melodies that it is so hard not to cry because it truly gets to your heart...if you're a romantic, that is.
Free Music Review: Musical Beauty Hit: 5 Stars
This is one of the best movie soundtrack scores I have ever heard, and is one of my favorite CDs. It is drenched in passion and romance, much like 14th century Venice, which it evokes. It is the kind that has the power to stay with you, long after the memory of the movie starts to fade, and stands on its own as a soundtrack for our own romances. The love theme is one of the most beautiful I've ever heard, and I've heard quite a few (being something of a hopeless romantic). Not only is it romantic, but it is gorgeous, lively, spontaneous, disparing, joyful, proud and pretty. George Fenton has created a masterpiece.
Free Music Review: Love protrayed Hit: 5 Stars
The CD can only be described like the film itself:My favorite movie! A feelgood, well-casted middleage film about two lovers who love and lust ... but cannot have eachother. Dangerous Beauty brings out the lust and passion in everyone and Catherine and Rufus act so well together, that you'd might think they're a couple in real life. Beautiful venice brings you laughter and tears. And the feeling of two people who want eachother so much, that teases eachother, hurt eachother... and then brings us the well-known fact: Love conquers all! Highly recommended! / Annelie
