Free Music Notes for Everest: Soundtrack From The IMAX Film ExperienceFree Music Review: GEORGE HARRISON STANDS TOPS ON EVEREST SOUNDTRACK! Hit: 5 Stars
Everest Soundtrack (Including The Music Of George Harrison)/ARK 21 is a CD that demands your attention. This is the soundtrack music to the IMAX Film Experience/MacGillivary Freeman Film. The original orchestrated film music score & arrangements are by Steve Wood & Daniel May and is absolutely beautiful, hypnotic & spiritually uplifting. But! The big surprise is that a number of ex-Beatle George Harrison's music is incorporated and interwoven magically into the other music. George's song "Life Itself" is the silver thread throughout a number of the soundtrack's music. George is not performing new guitar tracks or new variations of his past works, samples are used as with "This Is Love". The musician's ensemble perform various Harrison songs that are spun in their own golden beauty against marvelous orchestrations. My Fave? "Life Itself" & the stunning orchestrated/band ensemble's "Here Comes The Sun" is breathtaking! Need fresh music to clear your mind or meditate to? Get this CD. A+
Free Music Review: This will be one of your favorite CDs! Hit: 5 Stars
This work offers one of the most remarkable musical soundscapes ever created. The soundtrack thematically features the music of George Harrison ("All Things Must Pass," "Here Comes The Sun," "Give Me Love," and others) woven together in a symphonic tapestry. The brilliant score of Steve Wood and Daniel May includes chanting monks, the Northwest Sinfonia, the memorable Uilleann pipes of Eric Rigler (featured on the "Titanic" soundtrack) and the multidimensional flute offerings of Richard Hardy. (It is rumoured that George Harrison contributed his guitar genius on some sections.) This CD will appeal to everyone who wants a powerful journey to a deeper space in a distant land. This music leaves you feeling great!
Free Music Review: A STRIKING SOUNDTRACK Hit: 5 Stars
EVEREST provides a striking soundtrack in accompaniment of the marvelous IMAX movie.Who better to contribute to this soundtrack than George Harrison, the Beatle whose connections with the part of the world where Everest is are renowned. Renditions and interpretations of such Harrison classics as ALL THINGS MUST PASS, LIFE ITSELF, THIS IS LOVE, GIVE ME LOVE and HERE COMES THE SUN are found on this album and will become favorites to all who are Harrison fans as well as those who may not have heard them before. Harrison's music is beautifully complemented by Steve Wood's wonderful score. The album also presents some of the most beautiful flute and chant music that I have ever heard. Just a wonderful album! Free Music Review: My favorite soundtrack of all time Hit: 5 Stars
I first heard the Everest sountrack during the IMAX film. I wasn't even aware a soundtrack had been released until I stumbled across it at a book and music store. Naturally, I snapped it right up. The music is both hauntingly soothing and uplifting. My favorite track is Track 7: The Spirit Returns, which characterizes the entire score. I personally could live without the inclusion of George Harrison's music, but is aptly applied in the film, and integrates well into the entire score. If you like Everest, also check out Journey into Amazing Caves, another IMAX score by Wood and May, featuring music by the Moody Blues.

I became interested in Everest, after the tragedy in 1996.My husband and I made our first backpacking trip that year, also.I speak for myself, when I say it was an accomplishment, which,in my late forties, made me pat myself on the back.Yes,it was tough, but,we did it!I understood, then, the passion, the drive, felt by those who attempted Everest.I dragged my husband and son to Fort Worth(we live in Dallas)to view the Everest film. They enjoyed and I was captivated by the music. We take the CD on every camping trip, with us.Have had fellow campers thank us for the beautiful music
