This is one to the best soundtracks I've ever heard. Every combination I've ever heard from Mr. Elfman or Mr. Burton has been wonderful but this makes for teh best yet. The tracks are all differently composed and unique to each child and scene. this is a must have Cd for any fan of the book, , Th emovie, Tim Burton, Johnny Depp or Danny Elfman. Or maybe just someone who has a strong inner child or a dark side. Either way I strongly approve. Since Edward Scissorhands and The nightmare before Christmas I haven't heard such a great melodic combination with creative creepy additons from Danny Elfman who is a genious and along with Tim Burton this makes Charlie and the Chocolate Factory an excellent movie and makes for an even for excellent Soundtrack.Free Music Review: Sweets For The Sweet

As always, Danny Elfman delivers for his long time associate Tim Burton in Charlie & The Chocolate Factory. Elfman made a fantastic score for the film that pulls you right in from the opening sequence. Anyone who knows the work of Danny Elfman knows how he likes to blend light sounds with dark sounds, creating a twisted, terrific tune for every film he's been involved with. This time around, his music matches up with the movie perfectly seeing as Burton's rendition of the Wonka tale is both magical and maniacal. The Oompa Loompa songs are hilarious and will definately have you dancing a jig(or just rolling on the ground laughing).
If you love Danny Elfman's music or if you simply love great music scores, this is for you!!

There are 2 types of soundtracks; the kinds that features the original score (like this one) and ones with various artists. Very good ones integrate both, but thats a different story.
This soundtrack will bring back memories and scenes from the movie if you listen to the songs enough. Danny Elfman is a great composer no doubt, and the mood of these charts fits the mood of the movie. It sounds a lot like Spiderman, but thats cool. Spiderman was great as well, and so is this. I recommend this to any "Charlie" fan, high off of the movie. It will move and inspire you.
And for the last reviewer, the Spiderman theme song is really well known. There are marching bands out there playing it.

Danny Elfman has a created a score to go along with what I think is one of Tim Burton's best movies. I just got back from seeing the movie and am already ordering my copy of the soundtrack. Danny Elfman is a genius! The score and songs do a great job of bringing the feeling and atmosphere of Dahl's beloved novel to life. I grew up on the Gene Wilder version, but never thought it was very good. I love Gene Wilder and think he is incredible. However, I'm glad we finally have a movie worthy of the novel. Tim Burton and Danny Elfman have done the book proud. One last thing, regardless of what many critics say, I thought Johnny Depp was wonderful. Danny Elfman has been one of my favorite film composers for a while now, and while I don't always like everything that he has done, I think that he is really good at what he does. This score is nothing short of amazing! From the first few bars of the "Willy Wonka" song to the wonderful "Main" and "End Titles", this is Danny at his best. Even the songs sung by the Oompa Loompa's songs, which some will say are not as good as the orginal films' songs, are wonderful homages to different genres of music. This is fun and magical music that explores many different levels of playfulness.
If you are a fan of Elfman's music, go and get this now!
