Free Music Notes for Nightmare Revisited

Free Music Review: Uneven, but when it's on...it's on.
Hit: 4 Stars

This soundtrack, with the music from the movie covered by the likes of Marylin Manson and Korn, is a little uneven, but the overall effect is pretty cool--the total is greater than the sum and all that. The music comes in a wide variety of styles and interprations that vary from fairly close to the original sound to "I never would have thought of that of doing it that way." It makes for a singularly LISTENABLE soundtrack, something that can be played as music in its own right (which is far from true of many soundtracks). A fine creative effort. And that extends to the packaging art which is truly extraordinary, with embossing and bold artwork. One indication of just how good this CD is? My girlfriend, a bigger "Nightmare" fan than I am, borrowed this CD weeks ago and won't give it back.

Free Music Review: An Awesome CD!!!
Hit: 4 Stars

I was in Evansville at Circuit City yesterday. I was looking for a Marilyn Manson cd called 'Smells Like Children' (Maybe that'll be another review for another time.) Then, I saw 'Lest We Forget: The Best of Marilyn Manson. (Stay tuned for that review!) When I was fixing to leave, I saw this cd. I knew Marilyn Manson did an awesome version of 'This is HALLOWEEN' so I bought this cd. The other songs are pretty good, but 'This is HALLOWEEN' by Marilyn Manson is my favorite! If you are a Goth kid, and love the movie, you'll love NIGHTMARE REVISITED!!!

Free Music Review: reliving the Nightmare
Hit: 4 Stars

The music is great! The interpretations of Danny Elfman's work combined with the coolest bands p.t. is an extraordinary journey through the undescribable stop-motion picture. Some songs are better than others. The biggest dissapointment is Flyleaf's "What's this", as it is kinda low energy. Fall out boy's version is better, but it is unfortunately not on the album. Marilyn Manson, KoRn, Plain White T's and Amy Lee is among the artists performing the best interpreted songs on the album. A "must have" for every Tim Burton or Danny Elfman lover.

Free Music Review: Great album!
Hit: 4 Stars

I absolutely love this movie! The music to it is great(obviously, it's Danny Elfman, people!) and the covers of the songs are just as good. I only disliked a few song, but the ones that really made this album worth it were Korn's version of "Kidnap the Sandy Claws" and Amy Lee's version of "Sally's Song". Both are great songs that really capture the emotion and the tone of the songs. I recommend this album to anyone who loved the movie!

Free Music Review: Good Remix
Hit: 4 Stars

I actually enjoyed this CD very much. There are a few stand out tracks including Korn's cover of Kidnap the Sandy Claws as well as covers by Flyleaf and Manson. These covers are very different from the originals, but if you want to listen to the same songs, buy the original soundtrack. The spirit of the story is very much alive in these songs.
