Free Music Notes for Daredevil: The AlbumFree Music Review: AMAZING Soundtrack!!!
It seems the hottest soundtracks these days tend to rely upon revealing brand new bands, especially hard rock and metal bands. However, many times the soundtracks sound like a mish-mash of songs that scream and yell and have no place or special development to the movie (ie XXX, most of 8 Mile); however, when it comes to Daredevil, many of the artists were actually commissioned to write the songs which appear at specific parts in the movie. Moreover, this album is chalked full of well known talent musically and not filled with tons of bands unfamilar to the public and every single band/artist sounds different on this album, making it an awesome compilation for any rock and trained music listener. The album opens with "Won't Back Down", the first single, performed by Fuel and was actually commissioned to be written to correspond with a fight scene in the movie...it's the newest track from Fuel since the album Something Like Human and the gritty guitars and desirous vocals help to open the CD up so strongly. "For You" by The Calling follows and this honestly seems like it could be a huge hit for the band...possibly as big as "Wherever You Will Go" with the amazing vocal ability and persuasive lyrical sense. "Bleed for You" by Saliva continues to cement Saliva as a unique band that breaks from the nu-metal pack...Josey Scott is so amazing on this song and it seems to be yet another song destined for hit status. "Hang On" by Seether....all I can say is wow because I'd never heard much Seether before this point but lyrically you can just hear everything build perfectly. "Learn the Hard Way" by Nickelback...ok, I like Nickelback but unfortunately I keep finding that every song Nickelback records for a soundtrack (The Scorpion King and others) sound exactly the same so this isn't one of my favs on the album. "The Man Without Fear" by Drowning Pool and Rob Zombie is definately the hard head bang song on the album and it's good....but it can get annoying towards the end if you listen to it too much but it's still a great song. "Right Now" by Nappy Roots with Marcos Curiel of POD...this adds some spice of reggae and rap to the rock album and I really enjoy this song cause it has a great hook and groove with it...top song. "Evening Rain" by Moby is one of those songs you just know will grow on you like Moby does...it's a song that defies identification in a genre but it's very very good and I can see rain falling when I hear this song. "Bring Me to Life" is a song by newcomers Evanescence and WOW...this band is definately cutting edge with a sound not replicated and this song is just a taste of better things to come with heavenly soaring female vocals and awesome guitar solos. "Until You're Refreshed" by Chevelle is a great song too that sets off well from Evanescence but almost gets lost between Evanescence and the proceeding track. "Right Before Your Eyes" is lyrically absolutely amazing and I love the lead vocals of Hoobastank on this track...one of my favs on the album. "Fade Out In" by Palo Alto is a good song but it's not the strongest song either...might have been better off the album if looking to condense but it's an ok song. "Caught in the Rain" by Revis is a song that introduced me actually to Revis and I really really like this track too with vocal variations and the picking of the guitar at the beginning of the song is awesome too. "Highwire Escape Artist" by BOYSETSFIRE is a good song that follows up as well while "Raise Up Your Rifles" by Autopilot Off reminds me too much of a wannabe Green Day with more punk attitude...not a top song on the album in my opinion. "Daredevil Remix Theme" definately will be getting lots of play by me...I like it's sort of Mission Impossible sound but in the modern trance/techno style...very good. "My Immortal" by Evanescence...once again this band but by far the best song ever produced by them...this song is so sad but melodic piano and haunting vocals make this track melancholy and the violas just sing throughout this track...it's beautiful and the best song of the year. "Sad Exchange" by Finger Eleven follows off well and remains a strong ending song for the album. "Simple Lies" has a nice feel to it from the beginning and the vocalist of Endo has a great voice that is scratchy but sexy too...good track. "Let Go" ends off the album, performed by 12 Stones, and I think it's the perfect way to end off a hot album, slow but melodic and lyrically amazing...this is definately an end of movie song and possibly yet another hit for 12 Stones. Overall, this album exceeds all soundtracks that have come out in recent years with it's diversity but continual inticing nature because it really is that amazing. Definately an album that earns it's five stars through and through and deserves much accolade for bringing together such amazing talent.
