Free Music Notes for Learn To LiveFree Music Review: A solid piece of traditional country music Hit: 5 Stars
I have always liked the voice of Darius Rucker since his days leading Hootie and the Blowfish. I was intrigued and excited to find out he has released a country album as a solo artist. This is definitely a solid piece of work, with a good honky tonk song early on. This is not simply Hootie with a steel guitar added in, and it is NOT that Cowboy Troy novelty crap. This is the real deal, with solid production. I highly recommend this album and wish Darius a long and successful career in country music.
Free Music Review: Music for life! Hit: 5 Stars
Honestly, I really bought this ablum because I'm a Hootie fan. Actually downloaded it and forgot I had it until I came across it a few days ago. Talk about missing out!
This album is about life, love, hurt, pain, joy!! You will be able to relate to ALL of the songs on this album. They are all good. This a rare gem as finding not only good music, but good albums nowadays is becoming a rarity!
A keeper for my collection! This is good stuff!
Free Music Review: Beautiful Music / Beautiful Artist Hit: 5 Stars
The first time I listened to "Learn to Live", I fell in love with ALL the songs. Hearing "Forever Road" made me think of the wonderful 13 years I shared with my husband. There were several songs that tugged on my heartstrings and brought tears to my eyes. Darius, every song is beautiful and I know it has only been out on the market for a few days, but I can't wait for more. I usually buy a CD and I only like a few songs......this CD - every song is awesome !!!!!!!
Free Music Review: Thank You for an Excellent CD! Hit: 5 Stars
This CD is really enjoyable. I listened to it yesterday on the way to work and WOW! All the songs are excellent. Mr. Rucker's voice is aging well. "All I want you to leave me is alone," says Rucker in "All I Want." His easy style and interesting bridges make these songs fun to listen to. Each song is good, but as a group they are very entertaining.
I highly recommend this CD, especially if you enjoyed his work in Hootie and the Blowfish.
Free Music Review: Better than Heavy Metal Barry Manilow Hit: 5 Stars
From someone who was there from the beginning of the HBF phenom, I was very impressed with Darius' new album, although not suprised. In my opinion it is probably his best work since Cracked Rear View. It is an album that given the chance could have multiple chart topping hits.
I'm just glad he chose to make a country album, and not the remake of Barry Manilow hits in a heavy metal format he talked about......
Great job "D"
