I am not a Hootie and the Blowfish fan (probably due to over-playing on the radio), but this solo album is great. Darius has a tremendous voice. I enjoy strumming along with the songs. Catchy hooks and riffs. As the Dad of a precious teenage daughter, I was particularly moved by "It Won't Be Like This For Long." That's a tough feat for a "tough guy" that also enjoys listening to metal. Get this album...you won't be disappointed.Free Music Review: Who would think that Darius could do this....

A Cd this great only comes around a few times a year, and Darius Ruckers CD would rank number one against most of them. This is one of those CD's you can listen to from start to finish without skipping a track. With his smooth vocals and great storytelling, any country fan who wouldn't pick this up would be out of their mind. I just heard one of the songs from this album on TV and was instantly hooked. I came to Amazon to preview the rest of the album and have one thing to say - I don't wanna analyze country, Hootie, Darius or anything else, just give me this album and no one gets hurt! Along with everyone else, this CD would be the best country music cd we have heard in years where EVERY song on this CD is just fantastic. We've had great where there is usually one or 2 songs that might be a let down, but this one is the best. We are just listening to it over and over again. Can't get enough of Darius Rucker.
