Free Music Review: Buy this amazing CD !!:)!!!
Hit: 5 Stars

Please do yourself a favor and don't read that 1-star review down there... I know people have their own tastes in music, but... To get to the point this is a great CD. If you want to hear clips of the music on it or read the lyrics before you buy it go to darrenhayesnet.com. He is my favorite musician and I never, ever get tired of his music. Unlike a lot of artists that are really popular right now, he doesn't have other people write his songs for him... and the ones he writes are by far better than the people that are payed by others to do so! Darren (and of course everyone else who worked on this CD) is so talented, and if you didn't like Spin don't let that stop you from checking this one out... it's completely different. Luv ya Darren!!!

Free Music Review: Best album your money can buy in this industry...
Hit: 5 Stars

Wow , i have to say that is such a brilliant freudian album and so different than anything else that Darren did with Spin or Savage Garden . He has moved on forward musically like no one other . People talk about U2 and other popular artists , but Darren has broken the mold and created a 21st century album thats filled with emotions , excellent lyrics and exceptional vocals , and no .. im not even overstating if thats what your thinking . Treat yourself to some music people ... this album is like no other . It takes a very reflective person and heart to embrace the tension and the spark, and we all have this hidden somwhere in us . Darren has brought out the best from him ..in an otherwise sad music industry thats listening to Crap.

Free Music Review: Absolutely great!
Hit: 5 Stars

I have been a huge Darren Hayes fan since he came out in 1997 with Savage Garden. When "Spin" came out, I was hesistant what his sound would be like without Daniel Jones. That album is absolutely wonderful and so is his new CD "The Tension and the Spark".

"Popular" has a nice techno sound to it, something I have never heard from Darren before. All of his other songs are written brilliantly and won't disappoint. Other songs that I like are "Unloveable", "Ego", "I Like The Way" and his new video, "Darkness". "Darkness" has this sense of mystery and deep meaning to it.

I would recommend this CD to anyone who liked Savage Garden and loves Darren Hayes' last CD. You won't regret it!

Free Music Review: Just Wow!
Hit: 5 Stars

Darren Hayes is by and far one of my favorite artists. This CD only goes to solidify that. This has some very deep, emotional songs. It is that reason that I find myself drawn into this artists music. From way back starting with Truly, Madley, Deeply this artist always seems to find that niche at the right moment and echo it. Many years later I had stumbled upon his works, through a P2P network, and was just overtaken by all the good music he had done post SG. It took me some time to find and purchase "Spin" which was just an unbelievable compilation of music. Then finding new tracks and tracking down where to get them, was difficult, thanks for You Tube and Amazon.

Free Music Review: Absolutely stunning!

This is definately one of the best albums i've ever heard. I accidentally stumbled upon it. Honestly, I didn't even know he went solo!It oozes with creativity from beginning to end. Watch out for the more upbeat tracks such as 'I Like the Way', 'Hero', 'Popular'. While they keep you moving and singing, they aren't cheesy pop songs at all. Slower, yet still very catchy ballads (yes, catchy ballads), 'Dublin Sky' and 'Unlovable' will give you that relaxed feel-good feeling; you'll get really into it singing along. It's really hard to describe.
I highly recommend this album no matter what age or sex you are. It just 'flows' very very well.
