I first saw the Last Unicorn when I was very young. It is an amazing movie and very dear to me because it reminds me of a happy time in my life. I agree with the other reviews. The music did make the movie. I do not regret buying this CD but I am a tad disapointed that the CD left out a few songs. Some songs left out of the CD that comes to mind is when Schmendrick works his magic at Mommy Fortuna's Midnight Carnival, the arrival at King Haggard's Castle, and the discussion with the talking Skeleton, when the red bull attacks for the second time in the cave benieth King Haggard's Castle, and entering the mystical clock in the hall.Other than those few songs left out of the CD it is simply perfect. I highly recomend this CD to anyone! I would also recomend that you see the movie. It is early anime (japanamation) and it is wonderfully done and I know that even the guys out there will be reduced to tears by the end of this movie.

Gosh where to start! The book, the film, the music! I saw the Last Unicorn at the age of three-I am 22 now, and it is still a part of my soul. I can not possibly tell you how much the music touches me, especially "walking Men's Road" This story is both touching,magical,enchanting, and full of magic. Please do yourselves a favor-buy the book, the movie and the CD. It will awaken your spirit and leave you breathless. For anyone who still has magic left in them, they will be moved to tears by the songs, and the film, and the book. Thank you Peter S. Beagle for such a profound story. Thank you Americ for these gorgeous songs. This is a tale worth reading,watching, and listening to. I can not stress how much this story influenced me(creatively) It is because of writers like Peter S. Beagel, C.S. Lewis, Robert R. McCammon, and Stephen King that made me realize-telling a story is rewarding both spiritally and mentally. And the music from the film captures the magic so perfectly. If you have ever seen The Last Unicorn, you know that the movie is moving and magical in art and in music. I searched for this Soundtrack for years and gave up awhile ago. Thanks to the internet, I have it now and love. The reproduction of this to CD is not perfect, but the few blemishes are hardly noticable. I had the movie on the old record movies <back when i was just a kid> and the music was just incrediable then. I grew up loving this music and still do. The soft rock and classical mix here works very nicely together. If you are like me, and lyrics mean a great deal to songs, this is definitely for you. The words are moving and really, this is a soulsearching type soundtrack that can be enjoyed by anyone of any age and especially those of us who can recall the scenes with the music as we listen. Get the CD and the Movie if you don't have it. You won't be sorry.

If you have never seen this movie, see it. If you like the movie, just read the book. Even if you don't like the movie, (which is impossible) or the book, get the cd. The music is the best you will ever hear. I'm so in love with this movie. I love everything about the story and the music in the soundtrack just adds to that mystic heart-tugging aire about it. There is just something about the Last Unicorn that is completely undifinable but that people who love it can sense. It holds a part of your soul with a sort of bitter-sweetness that leaves you wanting to cry for joy. Well I'm done being sentimental and poetic. I just love this movie. Alot! I love all the songs. You just have to check it out for yourself. Blah, blah, blah, blah. I really am done now.Free Music Review: Oh how long I was looking for that!

My children are big fans of The Last Unicorn animation film. They also liked the songs and music so I decided to buy the soundtrack CD. When I found it here I ordered it immediately.
When the CD arrived we played it and it was really great to hear the music on audio. It makes very well for the film, but it is also good alone.
Sound quality is OK. As my younger daughter says, some female vocals are "wrong" (don't take it serious, she is 6 soon). In fact that means that female vocal differ frome one in the movie.
The booklet has cover page as stated in the item description and back page, nothing inside, but that doesn't low the overall estimate of the item and the impressions.
This import CD is worth paying extra money!
