Free Music Review: The First and Last Unicorn movie for me

I first saw this movie at the age of 6 in what was then West Germany. I memorized every word to every song on the movie by age 7. Then at age 8, when I started learning to play the piano, I taught myself how to play them on my little keyboard. These songs made a huge difference in my life, as now I love music and singing more than ever. After I got married and had children I started searching for a copy of this movie again. I finally found one after I had my last child, my daughter. Now she loves this movie too. My mother even found an old tank top she bought for me when she first got me the movie in 1982 and gave it to my soon-to-be-3 yr old. I recommend this movie to everyone who has little girls. It is a wonderful movie for anyone.Free Music Review: Magic lives on

Magic lives on in our hearts, you can see that from all the movies being released to us. Lord of the Rings and Harry Poter being the newest. But lets not forget the classics. Never Ending Story, Willow,etc,etc. In the hall of magical movies however let us not forget the Cartoon that still haunts our dreams, The Last Unicorn. Sometimes I would sit in art class and the lyrics of this cartoon would shove their way into my heart and mind. I had to find the movie and the soundtrack if there was such a thing. I found it, and I have them both. Thank you Amazon for bringing those days back where as kids my siblings and I would become Lear, and Almalthea and live in a magical world. I am a huge fan of this movie. It captures all that is true in the hearts of those who believe in love and faith. It is a picture that involves every aspect of what we want in our movies without the gore and language that even cartoons have nowadays. At 25 years of age, I still get teary-eyed when I see this movie, and now, with the music from it, I can relive the powerful moments without having to turn on the tv. The only thing I didn't like was that, though it is beautifully sung, the song Now That I'm A Woman is not the one from the movie itself. But, all in all, this is one of my favorite soundtracks. I can't wait until my sister gets hers at Christmas! I just hope she doesn't read this before then!Free Music Review: Hauntingly Beautiful Melodies, "TIMELESS"!

I had to get the soundtrack when I finally got a VHS copy of the film. BOY! Did I have to wait a long time! A few weeks or so before Amazon got a copy in for me. But I have to tell you, it was the BEST [item price] I've spent! An import from Germany, the group "AMERICA" outdid themselves on this. For people wanting to find this soundtrack, it can be done, though it's either going to be costly or a long wait, but well worth it! My children listen to it often, and I like it to help "unwind" if I'm having a stressfull day. It makes your mind "float away", and you find yourself humming or singing to its enchanting melodies. Download a sound byte and listen to "The Last Unicorn". WOW! LOVED IT!Free Music Review: Enjoyable, beautiful music.

I just recieved this CD in the mail today and I'm very glad I did. The music is gorgeous and filled with the flavor of the period it is written for. The songs by America fit perfectly with the story and aren't loud and overpower, or even obnoxious like most film rock scores.
I was especially glad that Mia Farrow was replaced in "Now that I'm a woman", and "ALl I've got to Say". THough her voice is beautiful and simply perfect for the unicorn/Almathea, her singing voice was a bit lacking. The new vocalist sounds enough like her to blend in beautifully, and still contians the original feel brought by Miss Farrow.
And excellent Soundtrack all around. Very well worth the buy.
