The Last Unicorn is one of the best animated films ever, if not THE best in my opinion. It is poetic, lyrical, enchanting and beautiful. The music only adds to the stirring movie and is complete here on its official soundtrack. It may cost a lot more than the typical soundtrack or CD for that matter, but it's well worth the money, folks. The Last Unicorn, Rankin-Bass' version of the popular fantasy book, remains one of today's best-selling children's films but its charisma enchants adults as well, even 20 years later since its initial big screen release. I immeadiately fell in love with The Last Unicorn when i read it for the first time five years ago. I saw the movie three years ago and have not been able to stop watching it since. The story is beautiful and the voices and music to the movie is perfect in the epitome of the word. The soundtrack is a collection of some of the most enchanting and hauntingly beautiful music to ever reach my ears. The story, motion picture, and music are all so perfect for each other and are, all in all, a satisfying mixed media collection to enjoy a wonderful story in different ways.Free Music Review: utterly beautiful

like many others, i first saw this film when i was a child, and i fell head-over-heels in love. i have worn out 2 video tapes from over-use. this film is the most enchanting beautiful story you will ever find. and the music makes the movie. there aren't words to describe how much i love this film, the soundtrack, and the book. it's about a search for a unicorn's identity, for her lost companions, for friendship, and for love. but perhaps to truly understand and love 'the last unicorn', you have to watch it and read it as thought you were a child.Free Music Review: A must have for any Unicorn Lover...

If you have the movie as long as I have (20 years) this soundtrack will complete your collection. For years, I had been trying to find the soundtrack. So as a birthday present to myself, I bought it from Amazon.com. When the courier showed up at my door, I said "Thank You and have a nice day!" I immediately opened it, and feeling like a little kid again. If you love the movie, the CD will complete the collection. If you're in love, there are a couple of songs that will be favorites for weddings as well! 5 stars!Free Music Review: Childhood remembered

This was a movie that touched me in early childhood; I loved all things mystical, and was one of those dreamy-eyed children who believed truly that if I just watched closely enough, I'd see the silvery moonlight coalesce into a unicorn. I loved this movie, and now, years and years later I can return to it though the beautiful music. I still have it all memorized (word for word, truly!) and I love to sing and hum along on my commute to work. It can still touch me magically and I'm so glad I found it!
