Free Music Review: ...hell is indeed squeaky and dissonant...there appears to be a drunk man on my head...

...this is indeed avant garde...although I have given this the mathcore tag many a time there is definetely something more experimental about this...
...now I'm a real sucker for dissonant and diminished guitar sounds...which there is a plenty...and honestly I would buy it for the instrumentals alone...the drummer is fast...the guitars are squeaky and dirty...and the bassist sounds like a tremor...
...but of course there is also talk of the vocals...now unlike their earlier work of Canada songs (tee hee I said canada) there is barely any screaming at all...but he takes to the poetic rambling of a theatre critic on the edge singing "I drew a portrait of how I'd look with my hands around my throat"...it's very good to hear someone carry on the torch for nick cave and adds to the destruction of the guitars very percussively and poetically...
...I think if you want a sample "Recorded inside a pyramid" would be the best example and can be listened to on their myspace...their hell involves horses? Wow...
