Free Music Review: Nothing compares to DMB live
Hit: 5 Stars

Every Dave Matthews Band album is a masterpiece, but their live albums are on a level by themselves. While Live at Folsom Field doesn't surpass classics like Live at Red Rocks, it is definitely better than any other music available today. The energy of songs like Bartender is unbelievable, and much of the setlist is great. The encore is Two Step and Ants Marching for crying out loud! My only complaint is that the mixing is a little off, meaning that you aren't able to hear much of Dave playing guitar most of the time, and you can hear way too much of Butch Taylor on keyboard at times. There is also way too much of the Lovely Ladies on this album, but that's just my personal opinion and I'm sure that a lot of people enjoy them. All in all, this is another exceptional album by the greatest band of our time...and in my opinion, the greatest band ever.

Free Music Review: Come one, come all...
Hit: 5 Stars

This 2 CD set is magnificent. Apparently Dave and the boys were ready to go all out for this show, as evidenced by the long jams and that amazing Davespeak solo on "Bartender." This is a perfect showcase to tell any beginning fan what a DMB show is all about, or to give a seasoned fan goosebumps by reminding them what they love so much about seeing the band perform. Live shows are this band's strength, and there's nothing lacking here.

This is a good mix between the old favorites all the way up to the stuff that was unreleased at the time of the show. If you're not a fan of the Everyday album, don't fret. If you just recently jumped on the bandwagon and don't know the older stuff, no worries. This album will please all walks of DMB fans. It's a good place to start and a must-have to add to the collection!

Free Music Review: Once again - great
Hit: 5 Stars

I am a big DMB fan, and a very big fan of their live work. So, that said - this is a great CD set. Lots of intensity, the deep grooves that their shows are full of, and the large amount of new material is great. The jams and changes to the studio versions are there - and they work - but they keep them controlled enough so that no one should be asking "when will this end?".

There are so many great tracks. "When The World Ends" has a great feel to it on this disc, and "Don't Drink the Water" is a great kick-off song. There are no duds here - this was a great set to use on an album.

The best thing about a studio album is that you can pop it in and feel the intensity of the material. That happens here - and I look forward to many listens in the future.

Free Music Review: really good
Hit: 5 Stars

I love Dave Matthews Band, they are a great band but I've never really gotten into their live stuff on CD, I thought I would rather see them live then hear a recording of it, but this album is changing my mind. They are great live performers, Dave's voice is strong and very good, he sounds like how he sounds on all the albums, I like that a lot. This live recording incorporates more then just the new stuff, it has classics from "Ants Marching" to "Stay (Wasting Time)" it's a good blend of the old and the new. One way of looking at the live recordings would be seeing them each as greatest hits with new versions and sometimes even better versions. The "Everyday" stuff on here is a whole lot better live then what it was on the album. I reccomend it to anyone.

Free Music Review: Unbelieveable
Hit: 5 Stars

As an avid Dave Matthews Band fan, and as someone who has seen their live shows when they've come to town, i can safely say that i know what a Dave live CD is supposed to sound like and be like. This new release destroys that notion. Never before had i heard such amazing creativity and exploration, even when i've seen DMB live before. The intoduction of the concert, DDTW, is wonderful, particlarly on this CD. And i've been waiting to hear Bartender as a quality live edit for years now. Not to mention the inclusion of mid-concert favorites like Warehouse (with great crowd involvement) Watchtower and Crash into me. I also think the encore is the best one ever assembled on a DMB Live album. I only wish i too could have been at this magical concert. Truly an excellent disc
