Free Music Review: Best DMB EVER
Hit: 5 Stars

WOW. I was blown away when my friend showed me the DVD. These are the best versions of the songs that they have ever done. Their is only one itty bitty thing negative about this album: Boyd Tinsley messes up a few times - more than usual at least. Like in Crush - @ 1:06 he comes in very flat, and it makes you wince. But other than Tinsley, they play like gods.

Also, the mix was good. MUCH better than Folsom. Carter's snare @ folsom sounded like crap. Here, the kick drum and the snare are the best ive ever heard them. The kick is very punchy and the snare is a mix between how it was on Before These Crowded Streets, and Busted Stuff.

I must say everyone shined on this album. Killer solos by everyone. Even Dave, who scat sings towards the end of Jimi Thing. They NAIL the four-stroke ruff ending of Two Step. Stefan has a set of new licks plus his solo before Watchtower - where he ad libs the Star Spangled Banner. Butch Taylor is more prominent in as well.

Best DMB album yet. These guys know what they're doin.

Free Music Review: Best live show since Red Rocks!!!
Hit: 5 Stars

This live album is absolutely flawless. From its great audio sound, which puts Chicago and Folsom Field to shame, to its excellent set list, this show has it all. Warren Hayes, the guitarist from Gov't Mule, appears as a guest towards the end of the show. The highlights of the show include an incredible transition between So Much To Say and Too Much (Tracks 2 and 3), Dancing Nancies followed by Warehouse (w/ Stop Time intro), Neil Young's Cortez the Killer, and the always great All Along the Watchtower. Although some may say that Watchtower is over played on live albums, Stefan Lesard's base intro of the Star Spangled Banner is incredible, which makes this version truly unique.

This CD is a must have for anyone who likes good music. There are things for the die-hard fans as well as the new comers.

Stay tuned for the release of the Gorge 6 CD set coming out in 2004. There is also supposedly a theatrical version as well, coming to a theater near you!!!!

Free Music Review: Proving once again that they are the best live band around
Hit: 5 Stars

This show really brings to the forefront everything that is powerful and precise about the Dave Matthews Band. They took a typical setlist without any major surprises, and stepped up their performance to fill Central Park. If you listen to older shows (I'll give Red Rocks as an example, but that is only because it was their first "released" show) and compare the musicianship and instrumentation, you can directly see how much they have grown and matured seperately as well as together. I find myself asking each time I hear them "How can they possibly get any better?" Then they do. Don't ask me how - they just do. They are the result of a perfect combination of a tight, rehearsed band - and the ability to feed off each other to create a world of creative, inspirational, and totally unique sound. All other live acts must bow down in awe to the power and size of the incredible Dave Matthews Band. Can't wait to hear what's next!

Free Music Review: They never got better than this!
Hit: 5 Stars

For someone who found (apart from the Chicago set) the other albums uninspired and ponderous.THIS is the real deal! The band play as if their lives depend on it and everytime you think they can't top this they do. The highlights are so many, that it is hard to choose 'crush' has an incredible violin solo following by a great sax solo and the drumming throughout is INCREDIBLE, get the dvd to watch a top drummer in action! 'rhyme and reason' has one of the most amazing piano solo's i've ever heard and it builds and builds and guest Warren Hayes guitar work on 'jimi thing' could of done without the 'cortez' cover because it really didn't fit too well. After this i got all the live album and was surprised at the lack of fire in the other performances, but thank goodness this was recorded. I'd honestly put it up there as one of the greatest live albums of all time and then they f++k it up by releasing 'everyday'!

Free Music Review: best Cd ever
Hit: 5 Stars

Well first of all I wanted to say that I was at the concert almost near the front some 25 or so lines back from the stage.
