Free Music Review: Not as good as Centeral Park, but still amazing
Hit: 5 Stars
If u didnt like te newest album stand Up u will still like this concert. Everyone of the songs are performed amazingly and there is a cover of time of the season which they did an amazing job on. this is not as good as centeral park, but nothing will ever beat that. and once again if u didnt like the new cd everyone of the new songd are played incredibly with a cool jam for all of them. All in all a very very very good concert.
The Stone: 10/10- This is the best performed version of this song ive ever herd. The drums they are incredible. Great version of this song.
American Baby: 10/10- A great song with a very cool jam. Much longer than the album version.
Time of the Season: 10/10- This is a great cover. DMB can cover any song they want and make it sound amazing.
Say Goodbye: 10/10- Amazing intro by Carter and great vocals by dave on this one. Great song
#34: 10/10- A great song to relax to.
Steady As We Go: 10/10- One of my favorite songs off Stand Up. This a slow song throught out most off the song and then gets a little bit heavier but not much.
Hunger For the Great Light: 10/10- Probably the second heaviest song they do at this concert. i rly love the intro. Daves voice is very raspy and sounds amazing.
Bartender: 11/10- This is the greatest version of bartender ever. This song is everyone at there best. Daves voice is incredible. Carters drum rolls are amazing. Boyd does great on violen like always. Steffan does a great job on bass. and Leroi makes this song with his sax. All in all a great song.
Dont Burn the Pig: 10/10- Better than the studio version and great violen by Boyd.
You Never Know: 10/10- Great job on this song. Really good effort.
Stand up: 10/10- Top ten hardest drum beats ever. This song is probably the pump up song of the concert.
#41: 12/10- Not much to say its #41.
Stolen Away on 55th And 3rd: 10/10- Great song, although i do like the studio version more.
Smooth Rider:11/10- This song is normally under 3 minutes. They jam for about 7 minutes. This song is great.
Halloween: 10/10- Probably my lseast favorite song at this concert, and its the most heavy, but is still a great song.
Louisiana Bayou: 20/10- This the greatest song on this cd. This an amazing song even if u dont like stand up. The jam is great the chorus is great the crowd goes crazy and dave just sounds like hes having fun. Very good song.
Everyday: 10/10- Great closing song. Couldnt see a better way to closse the concert.
Havent watched the dvd but im sure it great.
P.S Even though i didnt rate anything under 10/10 its the truth and if u dont believe me buy the cd.

WEEKEND ON THE ROCKS includes numerous tracks that have never been released on previous DMB live recordings including songs from the band?s most recent studio release STAND UP.WEEKEND ON THE ROCKS is as a special value 2-CD/1-DVD set containing over 3 hours of music and video-recorded in stereo & 5.1 audio.
Recorded at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, CO September 9, 10, 11 & 12, 2005.
To loosely paraphrase the traditional Passover question: What makes this Dave Matthews live album different from the last one he recorded at Denver?s Red Rocks amphitheater a decade previously? There's a savory cover of The Zombies' chestnut "Time of the Season" strategically frontloaded, but this edition revolves largely around the Stand Up album he was ostensibly promoting on this ?05 tour stand at his beloved Rocks, as witnessed by focused renditions of the title track, "American Baby" and "Dream Girl" here. But as the set's workout of "Louisiana Bayou" forcefully argues, their sense of energetic economy (and occasional, timely politicking) infuses much of the rest of Matthews jamfest ethos with renewed muscular wallop as well. The presence of a horn section and guest keyboardist Butch Taylor on some tracks ups the ante considerably, though even core band renditions of staples like disc one?s expansive closer "Bartender" seem charged with renewed passion. The running order here occasionally betrays the collection was edited from four nights and a considerably wider range of performances, but the included bonus DVD gratifyingly expands upon the audio rather than simply replicating it with complimentary performances of "Crash Into Me," "Recently" and "Jimi Thing." --Jerry McCulley
