Free Music Review: DMB is so much better LIVE

I was always a fan of DMB, but I only knew there radio hits: Crash, Crush, Satellite, Ants Marching, etc. Once I bought this cd, I immediately purchased all their live cds. You can see how much of an impact Weekend on the Rocks had on me to purchase all their other live stuff. Their live stuff doesn't even compare to their studio recordings. Most of their songs are jammed out for about 8-12 minutes! All of their songs on this cd rock out, but my favorites are "#34", "#41", "Time of the Season", "Halloween", "Don't Burn the Pig", American Baby", "Hunger for the Great Light", "The Stone", "Louisiana Bayou", "Stand Up", and "You Never Know". "#34" and "#41" are great mellow songs and you won't believe how hard the drums are in "Halloween", "The Stone", and "Stand Up"! The drums at the end of "Halloween" are just sick, the best drums I've ever heard! This is one of my favorite cds of all-time. You will love it too!Free Music Review: Must Have for DMB guys

I'm a huge DMB fan and I only have one other concert DVD. The Central Park Concert has been a great thing for me to pop in when I want to get to see them play most of my favorite songs, but it started getting old for me so I decided to get this as my second DVD to freshen things up, and it was a very good choice. Good song selection that is a little bit different from the mainstream stuff you see and I like the camera angles. The band goes crazy on Louisiana Bayou and it's very fun to see Randolph there as a guest. Everybody Wake Up is very cool, So Much To Say and Too Much are also awesome as well, and Dreamgirl is a nice mellow one. On the CD I would say that Don't Burn the Pig is a great song and I also enjoyed Stolen Away, Smooth Rider, and Hunger For the Great Light. If you want the main DMB songs, buy Central Park. If you want a variety of new songs, buy this next.Free Music Review: Dave Rocks Live!

This is my first live album by DMB so I don't know how it compares to the others, but as a CD/DVD set this is stellar. While I think Dave's songs from Stand Up are mediocre, the band is able to make them into spectacular performances live. Despite what I consider to be a less than stellar setlist Dave and the band have put together a live CD that can only be described as incredible. The sound quality on the audio CD's is great, and the DVD is amazing. The highlight of this collection is Louisiana Bayou on the DVD, with Robert Randolph. Robert is one of the best guitarists to emerge in a long time, and hearing his blazing talent being combined with the Dave Matthews Band is thrilling. While some songs might not rock your world, one of these killer discs is worth the price of this set. Buy it and enjoy one spectacular performance!Free Music Review: If Your Displeased....

With the songs they selected for this compilation there is a way to get all 4 nights. A box set is being offered on their official website. So if your looking for soundboard recordings of those concerts, that website is the ONLY one that offers it.
Anyways I'm going to write about this actual product. I must say this is almost exactly like The Gorge cd/dvd they put out a few years ago. Except the audio mix is a whole lot better. For those haters of DMB's latest album "Stand Up", prepare to be shocked from seing how good these songs are payed live. One more thing to note, the dvd is stunning and captures so much energy it's insane. The greate highlight from the dvd has to be Louissianna Bayou with Robert Randolph as a guest.

Hi all, I am a fan from Singapore...
Well i am very suprise that i can found this cd at Singapore here. But the price is double the normal Cd. Well i can say this is worth the money. DMB are not very well known at here. I wish they could come to here.
I start watch the DVD and i was blown away . All the perfomance are very strong especially Stand Up and Louisiana Bayou. And every song in the cd also very powerful and are different from the Stand UP album. Well the only complaint is that they should put more songs in the cd as there still plenty of spaces. But if you can, might as well get the 8 cd live. But my review still will based on this 2cd+1dvd. Overall this is a great live cd .Recommended *1000.
