Free Music Review: The quintessential acoustic album.
Hit: 5 Stars

This is definitely one of the best albums I have ever heard. The guitar work by acoustic god Dave Matthews and guitar virtuoso Tim Reynolds is excellent, and should not be passed up by anyone. This disc has a lot of acoustic version of DMB classics, plus some new tracks, and one TR solo, which blows me away, Stream. I have never heard anyone play so fast, it's just incredible, I can't believe it. Other great songs are Jimi Thing, Deed Is Done, Warehouse, Granny, Little Thing, all of it, I'd name 'em all, but can't. I also had the pleasure of seeing the duo live at the Beacon Theatre from the front row of the lowest balcony, easily the best seats in the house, and being blown away. Of all the acoustic album out there, this one is the best, all acoustic guitars, and should be the "Bible" of every acoustic guitar player. Being a musician myself, I have learned lots from listening to this CD. This should be in the collection of every fan of Dave, and any fan of great acoustic music. So now stop reading this review and BUY THIS CD!

Free Music Review: Matthews and Reynolds are "The Best of What's Around"
Hit: 5 Stars

"Recently" I attended the concert, "An evening with Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds". It was not a "Typical Situation", in fact, it was "The Best of What's Around". The show was amazing, Tim Reynolds adds an funky fresh twist to the DMB music that we all know and love in addition with Dave singing, you'd think you died and gone to heaven. I came home that night longing for more and that's just what I got.....I popped the CD in and was immediatley taken back to The Stanley Performing Arts Center, Row 7, seat 31. I closed my eyes and the music just "Crashed into Me". It was just "Too Much". Just like sitting at the concert. This double CD includes: "Jimi Thing", "Dancing Nancies", "Satellite, "Warehouse", "Halloween", "#41" plus 17 more of your favorites with Tim creating some of the most soulful tunes ever heard. So "Seek Up" and purchase this CD. You too can attend a Dave Matthews concert any time you want.

Free Music Review: They Were On Fire That Night
Hit: 5 Stars

Allright I'm gonna start off by saying that I(like many others) am a big Dave + Tim Fan. I have about 15 bootleg concerts with just them.

This show was Dave and Tim's 5 show together, which dates back to '95 I believe. The setlist for this concert is simply amazing and every song is played absolutly to they're potential. You really can't go wrong with Luther College it is probably in the top five of Dave and Tim's concerts.

Now if you want to get your hands on some bootleg concerts here's what I suggest. Become a member at these (Free) places: antsmarching.org, Dreamingtree.com, or eTree.com. They have hundreds of bootleg concerts, which are 100% percent legal to acquire.

If you're looking for a certain concert that may be one of Dave and Tim's best, I would suggest these shows:
1. (3.29.03) Boone
2. (1.25.97) Utica
3. (3.13.99)
4. Lost Acoustics Concert (Very Common on Ants Marching)

But also get your hands on a copy of Luther College you won't be disappointed.

Free Music Review: Is Rock Dead?
Hit: 5 Stars

Many times it's been said now a days, "Rock is Dead"; the only type of music you can hear on the radio or in T.V. is a sort of cheaply instrumented, poor lyriced attempt of music. That is why Dave Matthews Band has save the day for all great "really Music" fans. This CD is quite an example of deep commitment to art, songs like Sattelite, crash into me, The Christmas Song, #41, and all the rest; are an invitation to enter a world where Rock is not Dead, instead it has evolved into a beautiful fussion of rythms as pure and artistic as they can be. It is no surprise to find Jazz, Soul, Blues, Classic Rock and even heavy Rock. Listening to all of DMB work is like eating a delicious meal, with a tasty wine, the company of a beautiful woman, a kiss, the look of a child, a cold beer after a baseball game, a good night of sleep, a sunny day or a rainy one, it's like a life time. I could not have enough words to elogiate this Mesiah sent by God himself and this CD is living proof of that. From Venezuela HI everyone!

Free Music Review: Is it the best live album ever? Probably
Hit: 5 Stars

Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds: Live at Luther College is somewhat of a phenomenon. The first time I listened to the album I was spellbound. I own a few bootlegs and the friend who I listened with owns about 75, but this surpasses all of the live Dave that I have heard. The album succeeds at being playful, humorous, lively, and mellow all at the same time.

I have had the privledge of seeing the band live, and it is a show that I won't soon forget. Other live performances I've attended don't even compare. It is a stretch to say that this is the best live album of all time, but as far as I can tell from hearing some of the perinially great live bands such as the Dead, Phish, and Hendrix, none of them took their music so far away from the style on their albums, and made it better. Dave and Tim have an acoustic sound that is fuller and of greater musical value than anything live in the past.

No offense of anyone else in the 90s, but Dave Matthews Band is by far the most underrated group of this decade.
