Free Music Notes for Live at Red Rocks 1995Free Music Review: worn out Hit: 5 Stars
of all of the cds in my collection, live at red rocks has the most wear and tear. seek up is a great start to the cd with a 3 1/2 minute jam session that makes you want to hear more.the last three songs of the first cd epitomize a live dmb show. red rocks also showcases the indiviual talents of the band members. dancing nancies shows what boyd can do, lover lay down showcases leroi's talents, and the intro to #36 by carter is phenomenal. the tim reynolds solos scattered throughout round out the album.and of course, the vocals are great throughout. red rocks is the closest to going to a concert without actually going.the best cd i own.
Free Music Review: Undoubtedly the best live album the band could make Hit: 5 Stars
Never have I heard Dave and the band sounding as awesome as they do here. Every song is played almost flawlessly and every track is a gem. The thing that makes this album different than his other live albums is that every song sounds different than its album counterpart. Tim Reynolds makes the difference on electric guitar. Some may say that the electric guitar solos sound more like the Grateful Dead than the Dave Matthews Band, but it really is a nice touch, it is very different, and it enhances the sound. This album is not only for hardcore fans like Live at Luther College and Listener Supported, but it is for casual fans as well.
Free Music Review: THANK YOU DAVE! Hit: 5 Stars
I am so greatful I finally went to my first DMB concert a year ago and learned about this beautiful, incredible band. Dave sings about everything that is most wrong, and the most right with the world. If everyone would stop and just listen to what Dave is saying, the world would be a better place. Moving, beautiful, inspiring. In this two disc set you will find the best live versions available of Dave Matthews greatest songs, fit into an incredible live set, with the band jamming without pause into one song after another. Ive converted all my friends into Dave Matthews fanatics with this CD. A must buy for absolutely anyone.
Free Music Review: A must-have for DMB fans, excellent! Hit: 5 Stars
This was the first Dave cd I bought, but once I started listening to it, I couldn't get it out of my head. Dave and all of the members in the spectacular band are constantly showing me how awesome they play and blend together. This cd has gotten so much use, its case is already broken in 3 places! Seek Up has an incredible opening sequence that kept me wondering when he was actually going to sing (but kept me on my toes). Satellite and Tripping Billies are classics. Many of the songs I had'nt heard before became my favorites. If you don't have this cd, I strongly suggest you buy it. It's definitely worth the money!
Free Music Review: Best DMB live show you can buy Hit: 5 Stars
In my opinion, this is the best show from DMB that you can buy today. The songs they play are classic from their first cds and they are played to almost the best that I have heard them. This by far is my favorite and most listened to live show or even DMB CD. Every song is enjoyable with key parts I enjoy in: Beginning and end of "Two Step", End of "Best of What's Around", Ending to the beginning of "Dancing Nancies" to "Warehouse", ending of "Lover Lay Down" and the solo sax in "Ants Marching". Finishes up perfect with "Watchtower".
