Free Music Review: David's First CD Has So Much Variety And Is AMAZING!!! :)

I disagree very strongly with the first reviewer. There are so many different things to enjoy in this album ... where do I begin? Since the previous reviewer already mentioned "Angels", "You Can" and "To Be With You", and we ALL know by now what a hit "Crush" is ... I'll touch on the others that I also enjoyed. "Barriers", WOW! ... so hip, great rhythym and a cool ethereal feel to it!! "Don't Let Go" ... to me this song has a "The Cure" vibe and is another cool song. "Touch My Hand" will have you dancing with your hands in the air. "Your Eyes Don't Lie" has a great swinging beat and is a fun song. "Desparate" as the title suggests is more intense. "A Little Too Not Over You", "My Hands" and "Running" each offer different sounds and rhythms. If I had to sum up the album, it would be that it has great melodies, harmonies and of course David's voice is just pure perfection. :)Free Music Review: Surprisingly good!!

I half expected this to be a so-so album, but I like David Archuleta so I decided to give it a chance, and WOW! It's not at all the standard drab music that I'm used to hearing from the Idol contestants debut albums. It's actually really good music!! He has a really good upbeat sound that is very enjoyable and engaging.
Also, if you are expecting that this is teen pop-star type music, it's not so much. The only songs that remind me of those are "Crush", "A Little Too Not Over You". The rest of the songs have a very mature sound. Some, like "Desperate", "My Hands", "Don't Let Go", and "Running", you almost wouldn't even know it is an 17 year old singing!
My favorite song is "Your Eyes Don't Lie", although I WISH he would have left out that weird whistling!! Where was Simon on THAT one!?
Over all, definitely worth a listen!!

David Archuleta and this album SAVED my life!! I've been a hardcore fan of his since his audition, and I have to say that this album exceeded EVERY expectation I had. What did we do to deserve such awesomeness? This is a record that has something for EVERYONE! For the pop fans (Crush) to the rock (Desperate) to even the hip-hop (y'all know you LOVE Barriers!!) And the next single, "A Little Too Not Over You" is a great song with a killer hook that's full of flava and sure to be a huge radio hit. Oh yeah...and David also WROTE it which makes it even MORE wonderful! This album is not only EPIC but it gives us all hope that the music industry isn't entirely made up of garbage. Not as long as this boy keeps singing and making records as incredible as this. Mark my words: David Archuleta will be a legend!!! I only knew David from American Idol until recently when I heard his song Crush on the radio. He was not a favorite of mine on the TV show. After hearing the song on the radio, I listened to the samples posted on Amazon and ordered the CD. Well I got the CD and just finished listening and I am amazed that this is the same guy from Idol. He sounds so young and his pop songs are so good. I love the song Dangerous and Barriers and Touch My Hand, which I think are perfect for the radio. Also like the duet with the girl singer (don't know who she is though), one of the most sweet love songs I have ever heard. David's voice is so so good on this album and his choices of songs on the album make me forget the old fashioned type of song he sang on the show. I think he could really give acts like Jesse Mccarthy and Jonas Bros a lot of competition.Free Music Review: David is AMAZING...period!

I never write reviews about anything, but this CD merits one, for sure. I've loved David since I first saw him on American Idol and I knew that he was going to be big in music. I'm 27, married, mother of 2. I never thought a 17-year old could make him laugh, cry, and become totally obsessed (in a good way!). His voice is amazing, a true gift and his personality just completes the package. This CD is the best to come out in years. I love every song and cannot stop listening. It's worth every penny. I'll give it as Christmas presents not only because I love David's music, but also because I want to support this totally awesome young guy. He's grounded, humble, and a great example to our youth. David is the best thing that has ever happened to American Idol and he is a true winner...enough said...just buy it, you won't regret it.
