Free Music Review: What's that? Cross is in trouble??
Hit: 5 Stars

Well lemme just iron my cape and I'm off to jack the rating! If only by a small percentage..it's the least I can do. A lot has been written about this album, and I have a headache, and I don't feel like trying to add anything to it, except of course for stars of five. I'm seeing Cross and the gang on their "Putting the Mock back in Democracy" tour(?) down here in the swingin' state of AZ on Oct. 2nd and I can't wait. He's a genius. So keep supporting smart comedy and keep eatin' them bananas, cuz laughs and potassium never go out of style.

Free Music Review: Very, very funny and dark
Hit: 5 Stars

This double album is not for those who enjoy a light-hearted and inoffensive everyman joke. David Cross' material is extremely dark and sharp. For those who share in his sense of humor, this collection never gets old. No one is safe from his skewering, as David runs the gamut on politics, religion, sports, the media, and...politics and religion. David Cross has no fear and calls out hypocrites as he sees them. Even his audience interaction is great on here. It is laugh-out-loud funny, and proof that intelligent comedy still exists.

Free Music Review: Invasion Of The Republican Body Snatchers
Hit: 5 Stars

Please don't believe the negative reviews because all the young Republicans are trying to make David Cross look like a dope. It's only because he is intelligent, albeit goofy, and funny YET
TELLING THE TRUTH...I have listened to his CD over 100 times, being an employee at a record store, and know all the gaffes and little uncomfortable spots and still it is all funny and definitely worth much more than the asking price...there is more than just the political content to make you laugh...Buy this CD! Listen to your heart!

Free Music Review: Tasteless, offensive, and disgusting. I like it.
Hit: 5 Stars

David Cross is hands down the funniest comedian alive today. Most people are familiar with him through his work on Mr. Show, but this performance album from indie label Sub-Pop proves that he is just as funny, if not funnier, on his own. Dealing with topics ranging from the Bush Administration and the Catholic church to rednecks and radio disc jockeys, Cross is an angry man and he turns his anger into scathing and poignant comedy. With two CDs worth of live material, this album is well worth the money.

Free Music Review: outspoken, irreverent, and necessary
Hit: 5 Stars

When I first heard David Cross I thought immediately of Bill Hicks. Their voices kind of sound the same, and Cross continues the socio-political commentary that Bill Hicks continued from George Carlin, Richard Pryor, Lenny Bruce, et al. Some of the stuff David says is jaw-dropping, not because he says it, but because it's true. It's important to have at least one contemporary comedian who can rise above fart jokes to make fun of John Ashcroft, bad art in the name of September 11, and the pope.
