I gave the "Hitman" DVD/CD combo to my son & his wife for Christmas - outstanding variety and due to their movie sound system & big screen I almost felt like I was actually attending the live performances in Las Vegas! It was so good I ordered another to send to a music loving friend. Very rare to have this much talent assembled in one place. I think it has something for everyone - my 4 teenaged grandchildren were impressed with 14 year old Charice and watch the Michael Buble & Blake Shelton duet of "Home" repeatedly, as I have "The Prayer" (Andrea Bocelli & Katharine McPhee). Boz Scaggs hit from "Urban Cowboy" is still a great love song. I wish more selections from DVD could be on CD but overall it is a classy evening of entertainment.Free Music Review: Wonderful

This combo DVD and CD was the best item I have bought recently. The DVD of the complete show is fabulous with each guest artist paying tribute to David. How can you go wrong with Andrea Bocelli, Josh Groban, Celine Dion, Brian McKnight, Michael Buble et al! He introduced us to a child, Charice, who has the most exquisite voice - belting out 2 of Whitney Houston's hits. And he included 2 former American Idol contestants - Michael Johns and Katherine McPhee, both up and coming stars. David knows how to pick them. This man is a genius. The show was on PBS but only enough to whet the appetite. The CD includes a select few songs, and it is good in its own way as well. But get the DVD to really enjoy 2 solid hours of great music and fun.Free Music Review: Still waiting for Part II

Got it for Christmas 2008, love it. It is amazing! Any true music lover will truly enjoy this DVD, and CD(the CD is a companion piece to the DVD). I feal the need to set the record straight: I'm speaking to the naysayers that give this product a bad review..THE CD is A COMPANION peice. Other artists that release DVDs include a limited CD as a bonus too.
The original concert was planned to be split over 2 PBS programs, hence the mention that people saw the 4 hr show & feel cheated. With that in mind....David, Where is part 2? Strike while the iron is hot.

David Foster is to music, what oxygen is to life. His vision is crystal clear and his direction is so focused, I am sure he will never get lost....no GPS needed for this man!! Many owe their careers to this gifted man. We, who get to listen; are the true recipients of his talent. I pray for years to come, we get to walk with him, down the path he has chosen. What a joy it must have been for him to share center stage with great talent like, Michael Buble, Brian McNight, Josh Groban, Renee Olstead, Boz, Celine Dion, Charice, the unforgettable Andrea Bocelli, Katherine McPhee and many others. This was two hours of pure gold....or as Andre Agassi suggested "mostly platinum." 'Hit Man' did what it says on the tin- every song selected a timely masterpiece of the genius in Foster's lyrics and songs with every performer pulling out all the stops to sing at their studio best.
A kaleidoscope of musical styles from pop through country to classical- it really does cater for most tastes.
For those yearning the best in music and entertainment this is a must buy. Just a shame it is not available in the UK yet, though the NTSC (North America) format should play on most machines.
It is what music is to an unputdownable book- you simply want to read it again and again.
