This CD/DVD is superb all the chosen performers are great and this is the first time David Foster included in the line up our very own Charice to perform in very large crowd like this and Charice made it with flying colors and the audience gave her two standing ovations with her rendetion on Whitney Houston theme songs in the movie The Bodyguard. I knew Charice also sings Listen a theme song in the movie Dream Girls but it was not included in this album. David Foster made it right when he said: "Oh my GOD a Star is Born Tonight", He qouted right after the audience gave Charice an overwhelming standing ovation. I always knew David Foster was a genius, but the breadth of his influence continues to amaze me. In addition, he is always looking for (and finding) incredible new talent to match his accomplishments from yesterday.
Throughout this concert DVD, the existing super talent is carefully and innovatively melded with some of today's emerging young stars and the result is pure pleasure for the viewer and listener (you get both a CD AND a DVD with this set).
It's hard to imaging NOT having the gifts we all enjoy today thanks to Mr. Foster and his continuing committment to musical excellence.

Free Music Review: Amazing Performances

All the songs and performances included in the HitMan concert DVD/CD
are excellent but one stands out. The Prayer featuring Katherine McPhee and Andrea Bocelli is both riveting and exceptional. It's a beautiful, uplifting song on it's own, but executed with the artistry of Bocelli and McPhee it becomes a real showstopper. Their rendition is tender, powerful and utterly flawless. This cut alone is worth the price of the package. Kudos to Ms. McPhee for not only holding her own in the presence of such a celebrated partner, but in knocking it out of the park in her own right as the other half of this remakable duo.

I saw this on PBS last year, and since I teach Music Appreciation, I thought it would be great to have on hand when we discuss contemporary music. Most students know the artists, but have no idea about composer/producer types like David. It's an interesting collection of his work and features many famous artists. I think I enjoy sharing the "Home" segment the most. We are in TN, and many students are familiar with the country artists, but not Michael Buble. They really enjoy hearing how Michael can change his timbre from beautiful to country, and how the two singers blend when they sing "Home" together.Free Music Review: A Unforgettable Night

I was fortunate enough to be at the concert in May 2008 and it is wonderful to relive this amazing concert. I admitted that I have originally attended the event to see Michael Bublé and Andrea Bocelli's performance. But, I was blown away by the talent, both of David Foster and singers, that four hours (which is what the concert lasted; nothing was repeated, everything was done at the first take) felt like 15 minutes. I had the opportunity to congratulate David Foster and Michael Bublé in person and there are two wonderful, beautiful artists. Congratulations on a well deserved tribute!!!
