Free Music Notes for On an Island (CD/DVD)Free Music Review: Please get over it and do something postive Hit: 5 StarsI'm sure I'm not alone when I say give it up on the David / Roger feud.
Both are excellent in their field. Comparing this mini DVD to the "IN THE FLESH" full out concert is ridiculous. A more comparision would be with PULSE and DELICATE SOUND OF THUNDER. Both mind blowing concerts.
At least David is putting out some film lately.
Anyway, the point of this post is to ask that everyone go to David "and" Roger's websites and ask for more video footage.
Plead with David to release DELICATE SOUND OF THUNDER.
Let's face it, age is a factor and we need more live footage for keepsake.
Release anything. We'll buy it.
We need more to archive for when the day comes that the infamous Pink Floyd is no more. So please contact David, Pink Floyd, Roger and ask for more of their legacy to be put on film so that we have much to enjoy and pass on to future generations. Check their websites or any way you can contact them.
Thanks

Free Music Review: Just amazing Hit: 5 StarsAs Usual David G, do a great work wit this album. Soft, gentle and with Floyd air.
Free Music Review: To many "party nights" gone by for David Hit: 1 StarsThis DVD is beyond lame; on loan to me no way did I buy it
Same as Live 8 reunion, that had to be the worst off all time get together ever, from any band. Notice in that how Roger dressed and made up his hair, as to not make David look any worse then he does, it didn't help, just brought it all out even more.
In the Flesh DVD rules, like this cant even come close to it, not. DB II on guitar stole that show
Pompeii DVD smokes good, guess there is no substitute for youth
Free Music Review: A hypnotic, beautiful, flawless musical masterpiece . Hit: 5 StarsThe sounds of Pink Floyd, and both Waters' and Gilmour's solo works have been constants soundtracks throughout my life. This album joins the others in this auspicious place.
Gilmour has crafted a thoroughly beautiful album, both lyrically and musically. This is truly soul-soothing stuff. Its one of those that when you get to the end, only silence or the repeat button are worthy follow-ons.
This is a quiet album, one that calls for an undisturbed afternoon in your favourite lounge. But quiet means neither slow nor boring. This is album is proof why Gilmour is one of the wolds greatest musicians.
The haunting ethereal beauty of the songs and the impeccable virtuous guitar solos will have you stopping whatever you are doing to listen. It is full of subtle and refined details, even witty and quirky, yet never a sound out of place. It is minimalist yet lush. It is warm and organic. It is consistent in its vibe altough the songs are quite different from one another. It will make you feel good, make your eyes water, it will make you shiver and smile.
This album is not Pink Floyd, it is 100% David Gilmour. If you are a DG fan, this is an outstanding continuation/evolution of his solo work. If you are not familiar with his work, then this is the album to get familiar with. This is a fantastic timeless album that defies description. Get it. Get into it. Its a masterpiece.
Free Music Review: I would rather hear fingernails on a chalkboard Hit: 1 StarsThis is horrible.
The bald, fat former guitarist to the great Roger Waters puts out an album of incredibly bad songs written by his pot-head no-talent joke-of-a-wife.
Its like watching a train wreck. Most "musicians" (please notice the quote)couldnt make an album this boring and awful if they tried.
Congratulations David Samson.
Gee, I wonder why nobody bought this album when it came out? So THIS is why with his last two horrible albums he pretended it was Pink Floyd. Nobody (except for a few sad-sacks)would in their right mind buy a David Gilmour album.
Please ignore the 5-star reviews. These were made by the same few knuckleheads that follow this geek around. Homoeroticsm accounts for their review...not the actual terrible songs to be found on this abortion of an album.
