Free Music Notes for Very GreasyFree Music Review: Masterpiece Hit: 5 StarsI was given a taped version of Very Greasy from a friend in 1989. I played it often that summer and it was an immediate favorite. I hadn't listened to Lindley for almost 18 years but heard a store playing El Rayo-X recently and it kindled my curiosity. I ordered El Rayo-X, Win This Record, and Very Greasy from Amazon. I've been in Lindley heaven ever since. I like the other two CDs but Very Greasy holds the winning hand for music that just makes you want to dance. The music is great and the lyrics delivered by David's voice make this a party that sounds as great in 2007 as it did in 1989. A real masterpiece!
Free Music Review: So Greasy!! So Good!! Hit: 5 StarsA great party CD - - especially an outdoor party. Excellent playing on all the songs, but the reworking of "Werewolves of London" was my favorite - if you don't move to this, you must be embalmed!
Free Music Review: no slow spots Hit: 5 StarsLike many cd's, there are no tracks to bump ahead of in this masterpiece;especially Bobby Freeman's "Do you wanna dance" Check out the 2nd bridge w/ the "Ventures" twist in it. Awesome! JK
Free Music Review: Ain't No Justice Hit: 4 StarsThis is the album Linda Ronstadt blackmailed her label into releasing... "If you want me, you gotta let me produce Mr. Dave" she said... It's very good...but I always preferred him live and crazier... A little too tame, but tasty... The man should have become a megastar...ain't no justice.
Free Music Review: The King of Polyester Hit: 5 StarsLindley is a great artist. His talents are limitless in his use of instruments. He is awesome in concert, especially with his unique songs.Do not miss Tiki Torches At Twilight....
