I had purchased these 3 albums when they were originally released. But I had forgot how great the songs were until I listened to this collection.
Now, I play it in my car over and over again. I just love the way David's sometime rough voice is balanced with the smooth orchestrations. David being produced by Van McCoy was a stroke of genius. The only music that sounds dated is the unreleased songs at the end of disk 2. If only they could have made more music together but it wasn't to be as Van McCoy died in 1979 at the very young age of 39. This collection captures the best of David Ruffin's solo career and should be treasured by any true soul music fan.
