Free Music Notes for A Passage In TimeFree Music Review: Definitive Early Collection of Dead Can Dance Hit: 5 Stars
This is by far the best collection of the earlier work. They have a very broad range of styles singing and playing traditional songs from medevil times, along with traditional music from various regions around the globe. Lisa Gerrard and Brendan Perry are very gifted in their talents of singing and writing new songs; this is strongly evident in this album. If you like Enya or Lorenna Mckennitt, I highly recommend this album as a starter.
Free Music Review: Dance of the dead Hit: 5 Stars
This is truly one of my favorite bands, the music is even flowing and relaxing. Almost putting you into a trance like state when listening to it. All the songs stand out and seem to hold alot of meaning to me, like with "Severance." The melody of this CD has different layers, it can go from a slow, mellow beat to fast and uplifting. It's definatly one CD you don't wan to miss out on, and once you listen you'll be a fan for life.
Free Music Review: The Perfect "Greatest Hits" Hit: 5 Stars
...not that any of these were hits in any sense of the term, though. I picked up this disc (cassette at the time) some ten years ago simply based on the cover art, never having heard of them. I was blown away and still am. This is my favorite DCD...utterly original and haunting. It makes you believe music is somehow magical. I've since bought all of their music, but this disc would remain my desert island favorite.
Free Music Review: Intruiging Hit: 5 Stars
A strange cd indeed.I've never been the type of person who would normally buy this type of music, but I'm glad I found, and bought it. The music is intense as it takes you to a different level of music. It is one of the few cd's that actually makes me listen to the music on it. It's a perfect combination of music, history and feelings. It's inteligent and religious, I'm proud that I can call myself an owner.
Free Music Review: Definatley worth buying... Hit: 5 Stars
This is one of the best albums I've ever owned. It was the first Dead Can Dance CD I ever bought. It kept me company through many depressing nights, and brought me much relief. It is a graceful blend of new age, goth and other sounds that are hard to describe, and Lisa and Brendan have two of the most beautiful voices I've ever heard. Thank you...
