Free Music Notes for Photo AlbumFree Music Review: Simply Beautiful Hit: 5 Stars
This is the only Death Cab Album I own, and it is very good. The music is so amazing. These guys have real talent. But this CD is definatly not for everybody. The music is Indie Rock, and some people think this sort of thing sucks. I don't, but if you are one of those people that listens to mainstream emo and the stuff that is only on the radio, you probably won't like this. It is underground Indie, which means that Death Cab will not be played on the radio anytime soon, or sell out. So if you are a fan of this genre already, get the CD.
Free Music Review: Highly recommended Hit: 5 Stars
As the music industry drifts further into a bastion of cookie-cutter-crap music, I find increasing dependency on such bands as Death Cab. This album signifies why we need and love independent music. As someone who finds herself constantly debating whether I just keep buying the same album over and over or if a lot of new music desperately lacks ingenuity, Death Cab helps me keep the faith. The Photo Album hits harder beats than previous albums, and is truly a great album sure to impress even the most tainted. Highly recommended
Free Music Review: A grower, for sure. Hit: 5 Stars
Dear music listener. Give this album a chance. At first, I agreed with some of the other reviewers: it didn't grab me. It wasn't quite what I expected. It didn't live up to my expectations. (...) I gave it a few more listens and I seriously think it's my favorite DCFC album. And that's saying something. I absolutely love the other ones...don't get me wrong. But the emotional depth and musical variation on this one squeaks it out ahead. Please, don't just buy this album. Listen to it often! It WILL grow on you. Guaranteed.
Free Music Review: Fantastic Album! Hit: 5 Stars
The Photo Album is a fantsatic work of art, especially the first four tracks. DCFC shows their amazing musical talent on this album with tunes you can sing along with and fall head first into. And If you are fortunate enough to see them live, the tracks from this album mark the highlights of the show. Also, the tour-only version of the album contains a bonus CD with a fantastic cover of Bjork's 'All is full of love'. I passionately reccomend this album, along with all of DCFC's other releases.
Free Music Review: Maybe the Best Hit: 5 Stars
I have a really hard time choosing between this album and "Chords" as my favorite. I love all of their albums, but this one might be the best straight through. If you don't like Death Cab because Ben's side project "The Postal Service" sounds like dance techno to you, or the radio songs on "Plans" are too soft, pick up this album. These guys are great musicians, and the strength of this album is that they didn't think aboout it too much, just got together to record some great rock.
