Free Music Review: Problem with CD
Hit: 3 Stars

Music is fine - not as driving as I expected though - there is a problem with the first song on the disc - how do I go about returning it for a new one?

Free Music Review: I think it's over....
Hit: 2 Stars

I am literally upset. I was so looking forward to this release as I thought the last Blondie album was, well, the last Blondie album.I figured she must have something up her sleeve and this was going to be it. Sorry to say, I think it's really over for her. This album sounds like it was recorded in the 80's and that's not a good thing from an icon such as Harry. What happened to evolution of a rock-n-roll hall of famer? She needs to update to a sound that at least tries to sound like it was recorded in this millennium. The production just simply falls flat...909 drum machines and poor guitar tones make for a very banal listen...nothing really jumps out. Worse though is the let down of the expectation that she would sing more than a few notes. She seems to have one trick, one idea for a melody and she does it for 17 songs...not very interesting to hear a monotone album where the vocal and the not so skillfully played instruments accompanying her can really do one thing...Though her former jazz exploration was not her best work, it did at least have more than one idea behind it. As for the writing, well, jeez, I'm not sure she even knows what she's saying. It looks like most of these were penned by her (ad her so-called producers). This, too, I was looking forward to, but you gotta hand it to a guy like Jimmy Destry...he did write hit songs. She does not. Regardless, Harry is in the books as one of the great singers of our time and she started a movement, but this albu should probably reside in the bargain bins where, hopefully, no one will find it before they hear what came before it.

Free Music Review: self indulgent
Hit: 2 Stars

VERY disappointed. It seems that every album Deb makes since Rockbird has steadily gone downhill, and this has got to be the bottom of the slope. I REALLY cant believe that such an icon couldnt put a bit more effort into collaborating with some inspired writers & producers. Its been 14 years since an album and it seems this was made like a last minute school project. c'mon Deb get motivated and find some great stuff, u could even have a hit again. Gee who wouldnt want to write with Deborah Harry. All your fans are wanting u to play us something we can join in on. Yeah yeah we know you're out there & a rebel etc, plz stop trying to prove it thru this. So disappointed I've wited so many years. Give me the job to scout for you and I'll do it!!

Free Music Review: Deborah Harry
Hit: 2 Stars

Deborah Harry produces much better music with "Blondie" than as a solo act. I was disappointed with the compact disk. She did better with "Rockbird" and other solo attempts. This one fell flat.

Free Music Review: Mommy, make it stop!
Hit: 1 Stars

Let me star by saying I was and remain a huge Deborah Harry fan. That being said, this is one of the worst albums I have heard in a long time. It sounds lazy, quickly put together and unmotivated. The production almost sounds like these are demo tapes...very lo-fi and unexciting and the vocal (though once great) sounds a little like my grandmother at this point. Sorry, Debbie. It's just not good.
