I could listen to "Clair de Lune" endlessly and still appreciate every single note of this heavenly piece with each listen. This is one of the pieces that endeared me to the beautiful music of one of my all-time favorite classical composers, Claude Debussy, also known as the "Poet of the Piano." He was a prolific composer and a great pianist whose compositions were remarkably unconventional but very listener-friendly. He once said that he "loved music passionately and because he loved it, he tried to free it with barren traditions that stifle it." He was known for his radical ideas on music and did not conform to traditions when it comes to his compositions.

Philippe Entremont is a great pianist who can play any kind of piece and excel in it, be it a Debussy piece or a Mozart or a Rachmaninoff or a Ravel or a Tchaikovsky. He is one of the best pianists in the history of classical music. In this album he proves his extraordinary flair in piano. He presents his innate expressiveness in playing all the pieces in this notable Debussy album from the opening notes of "Clair de Lune" to the ending notes of "Children's Corner," you are sure to have some of the best musical moments in your listening sessions. The tracks are divided into seven segments: "Claire de Lune," "Deux Arabesques," "Feux d'Artifice," "Pour le Piano" (in three movements), "Images I," "Images II" and "Children's Corner," a collective composition dedicated to his little daughter.
