Free Music Review: Another Masterpiece From Def Leppard

Adrenalize is yet another masterpiece by those incredible Leps, unfortunately this was the last good album they had. When I first bought this in 2002 at age 14 I loved it and still do, but right away I could tell something was missing, and it was Steve "Steamin', The Riffmaster" Clark, the greatest guitarist in history, the songs just seemed to lack the fullness of guitars they had before, except for one. Even so, this record is still excellent musicianship, and is way better than anything Nirvana, or Metallica or anybody else ever did. It leads off with Lets get rocked, now soome people say that this song's lyrics are just dumb and cheesey, but I think that it is perfectly simple to understand, it's the motto of every teenage boy, party all night, sleep all day, and try your best to score with your girlfriend, all this with a great rocking background with killer guitar riffs and an amazing solo. Next is Heaven Is, which is my favorite song on the record, its all about a drop dead gorgeous woman that is everything you've ever wanted, and the music is also great, full of wonderful melody and a great guitar riff and solo. Make love like a man, is another song that people say has dumb lyrics, but they're wrong, the title sums up the idea of this song, grab a girl, love her like a man, and she'll feel alot better, and thats a fact. Tonight, this is where the record slips, the mood is just to sedate and there is not much in the vein of guitars on this one, and the lyrics are a bit weird on this one, but still the point is being with a girl and making love to her. White Lightning, a great song, but just a bit to long, the mood is dark and sad, filled with an eerie gutar lick, followed by a spooky riff and solo, the lyrics are a message about why you shouldn't experiment with drugs or alcohol, because, /you'll never laugh about it, you just can't live without it/ you've had enough, but you just want more, you'll never get what you're looking for/ you wanna leave but you can't say no/ you wanna stop but you can't say no/, and musically its a tribute to Steve Clark, as are the lyrics about his unfortunate death. Stand up kick love into motion, while a little better than Tonight, the mood is the same, to much pop not enough metal, though the lyrics are better and are about being in love, the guitar riff is a bit boring, but the solo is cool. Personal Property, well this one is a bit of a killer/filler, its not as good as most of the songs, but is still worth a listen, the guitars are crunchy but are a little to uninteresting to bang your head to, the lyrics are about being a jealous man over your girlfriend. Have you ever needed someone so bad, is a tremendous power ballad, and the only power ballad better is Love Bites, the guitars are great, heavy yet melodic, the vocals are perfect, and the words are all about loving someone that you're afraid you can't, but you're damn sure gonna try no matter what. I wanna touch U, is an excellent song, with a great riff and awesome solo, the words are in the vein of Pour some sugar on me, its an, uh, ahem, SEX SONG. Tear It Down is an amazing closing to the record, and its the only song that is graced by Steve Clark, its the only song that has the perfect fullness of guitars, and knocks the socks off Van Halen or Metallica, the words are all about a hot woman that you want to score with. This album was definitely worthy of th 15 million copies it sold worldwide, as was Hysteria worthy of 18 million worldwide, and Pyromania 10 million in america alone, it seems Pyromania will never sell anywhere else. Anyway buy this album and the others I mentioned and you'll ahve the best albums ever made, I never leave home without them.
