Free Music Notes for AdrenalizeFree Music Review: you need this cd in your collection!! Hit: 5 Stars
there are times when this cd calls out to me from the shelf, and i really just HAVE to play it. the energy of "let's get rocked", the fun of "make love like a man" (have you SEEN the video? hysterical, no pun intended), and that lusty little ditty "i wanna touch u" can really get you pumped. i think "have you ever needed someone so bad" is a beautiful song (and may i say a beautiful video) and excuse me, but i even love the cockiness of "personal property". def leppard is a band that has never forgotten how to ENTERTAIN the fans. i don't want to be preached to or bored to tears; i want something to drown out the noise of REAL LIFE and let me escape for awhile. if you haven't gotten this cd yet, do yourself (and your psyche) a favor and go get it. it's just a whole lot of fun ...so....let's get the rock outta here!!
Free Music Review: A very underrated Lep CD! Hit: 5 Stars
Yes, I know Hysteria and Pyromania are better all around, but this is still an excellent CD. Even with the death of guitarist steve clark, the band managed to march on and make some excellent tunes. Let's get rocked was made to be a single and songs make love like a man and have you ever needed someone so bad got significant radio airplay. Heaven Is is an excellent song, while Tonight and Stand Up are touching ballads. White Lightning, the seven minute epic dedicated to Steve Clark, is a beautiful song and I wanna touch you is very provacitive but is still a great song. Personal Proprety and tear it down are very solid songs as well. This album has gone triple platnium in the us and sold about 7 million worldwide. This CD, while not as good as the classics mentioned above, is still a rocking CD drom beginning to end. Come on, Lets Get Rocked!!
Free Music Review: As good as Hysteria, or maybe even better! Hit: 5 Stars
I have a hard time deciding which Def Leppard album is my favorite. It is probably this one or Hysteria or even Europhia. I would give this one a 98/100. Hysteria I would give a 94/100 and Europhia I would give a 95/100. As you can see this album in my humble opinion is my favorite! But it is a very, very close race between these albums. Vault, the greatest hits is 99/100 but since that is really not a studio album, Adrenalize is the best! Every song is good and you would be hard pressed to find a filler song on this album. From the opening rock song, "Let's Get Rocked" which was so well produced, it flows like the mighty Mississippi, to the final song, "Tear It Down", which is one of their catchest tunes ever, this album will bring out the "adrenaline" in you and have you adrenalized. No Pun Intended!
Free Music Review: Steve would be proud! Hit: 5 Stars
I reluctantly bought this CD because I am a huge Steve Clark fan and it was done after his death. I figured it couldn't have been any good if Steve wasn't involved. I couldn't have been more wrong. First of all, the Leps dedicated the CD to Steve, along with the song White Lightning, and (best of all!), most of the tunes were co-written by Steve. The music is pure Hysteria Leppard with a couple of notable exceptions that sound as if they could have been done in their Pyromania days ("Tear It Down," especially). There are also a couple of stinkers, too ("Let's Get Rocked," anyone? But then again Steve didn't co-write that one!) Phil did a phenomenal job interpreting Steve's guitar parts...not necessarily the same, but still impressive. There will never be another Steve, and in my opinion, Steve's spirit lives on happily in this CD.
Free Music Review: Cut and Polished Diamond Hit: 5 Stars
If you didn't think Def Leppard could clean up their act any more with Hysteria, you need to listen to Adrenalize. This CD takes what made them popular on Hysteria and cleans it up. Adrenalize is like the cut and polished diamond that was Hysteria. Everything on this CD has energy and refinement. Almost to the point that you may think they just cranked out cookie cutter songs. Not so though, they slaved on this work. Doing things again and again until it was right, a tribute to the work ethic ingrained in them by Robert `Mutt' Lange. The power and performance on this CD is downright Leppard and I believe it was the height of their creativity. A place where they have never come down from though. The progression of their talent on this CD shows their talent and ability are not a fluke.
