This was the first Def Leppard album I bought and "cut my teeth on", so to speak. Although they radically changed their style with their next album, "High and Dry" has none of the bubble gum crunch pop sound that critics accuse them of playing. Even though the songs are now classics, they are still models of what great rock can be. Anything after that is only an encore. -A long time fan
