Free Music Review: Best heavy rock of the 80s
Hit: 5 Stars

It seems to be difficult to decide whether to call this heavymetal or heavy rock, but most songs tend to the more radio friendlyheavy rock. For me, the album splits into two parts. The first part consists of the first six tracks off the album - these made them the stars they are - all were tempestuous massive hits in this part of the world, with "Rocket" and "Pour Some Sugar On Me" being the more lively and heavy, while "Love Bites" must rate as one of the best heavy rock ballads. The second part consists of the last six tracks, and is certainly not the same "radio hit" type stuff. These tracks will appeal to the lover of the "heavy" in "heavy rock", with reasonable lyrics and good solid performances. Go and get it - this is the good stuff. Interestingly, this album was produced by Robert John "Mutt" Lange, a South African guy, who did it again with Shania Twain's recent country-ish success "Come On Over". Go figure... :-) If you are new to Def Leppard, then this is definitely the place to start.

Free Music Review: My Number one rock band in the whole world
Hit: 5 Stars

oke, what can i say about Def Leppard, i just like it , the first time i heard was back in summer 1988 , i was only 9 years old, but as a child back then i was "hysterical" to hear my most favourite songs that was "animal" , it reach number one in UK and one and still the best pop-rock singles i ever listened to. until my high school era , i was fascinating , i sometimes listened the album three times a day , i played animal singles four times a day , and rate my self a whole year i listened the album about 2500 times . And my old brother are saying i was crazy because my activity to played the band songs every day , i spent three years to collecting the entire album of Def Leppard , and the result is i am very lucky to have listened a band that have a very ugly start, and bad luck until the most higher selling rock album all time beating bon jovi and Led Zeppelin albums. For the conclusion , i would like to say ,if you enjoy listening a modern pop -rock albums you will regret it if you don't listen to all songs in Def leppard albums especially this album.

Free Music Review: Every rockers pride possession
Hit: 5 Stars

Def Leppard pretty much changed the way heavy metal was with their 'Pyromania' album. Then they follwed it up by changing the face of hard rock with 'Hysteria' The music is varied, with slow ballads like 'Love Bites' and 'Love and Affection' to riffs n screamming vocals songs as in 'Don't Shoot Shotgun','Run Riot'and 'Excitable' to amazing solos in 'Pour Some Sugar On Me'. One song that deserves a special mention is: Hysteria. The song isn't riffs and screams... it isn't even slow bluesy mourns... it's like a plateau. You know... the music is very level... like if you watched it on an equaliser, you'd hardly see any towers and depressions... it's 'consistant' and yet, it's a masterpiece. In fact, a recent poll on the Def Leppard website put Hysteria as their best song ever. Not supprising. Listen to the opening guitar riffs of 'Animal' and the way Joe Elliot open up with 'A wild ride... over stony ground.....' You end up over the moon. Another anthem is 'Gods of War'. The drums and guitar combination is awesome. This is one album that any proud rocker posseses.

Free Music Review: The greatest hard rock album ever made
Hit: 5 Stars

Even better than Pyromania, Hysteria is clearly the best Def Leppard album and the greatest rock album of the 80's, maybe the the best ever. AMG calls this album a masterpiece and I totally agree. All 12 songs are great. Every song could have been a Top 40 hit. Just when you think you've found a weak song on this album, it suddenly becomes one of your favorites after a few listens. No other album I own has such lasting replay value. Everyone who hears this album loves it. "Pour Some Sugar On Me" was topping the charts in 1989 almost 2 years after this albums release. I believe it set a record for the number of weeks on the charts. The songs are catchy, uplifting, have a lot of feeling to them and are brilliantly recorded. The production is absoluetly flawless. Rick Allen's performance on the drums after losing an arm in a car wreck just after the Pyromania tour even makes this album more special and significant. If you appreciate good hard rock, you have got to have this gem in your collection.

Free Music Review: Histerically good
Hit: 5 Stars

This is by far the band`s greatest album. The band, from when it started playing gigs in the late 70s had one only aim: put rock`n roll on top of the charts. With this album they did more than this: they became one of the most top selling rockers ever. The album has very good songs: Women, Animal and Pour some Sugar on Me are all very good melodic songs, Hysteria is a nice ballad. Buit the songs I love the most are the powerful ones of the album: Don`t shoot Shotgun, Run Riot and Armageddon it. This album is much more rockin than Adrenalyze and the average songs are better than in Pyromania. The band is in its best shape ever, Phil Coleen and Steve Clark don`t miss a riff, Joe Elliott`s voice is on top and Rick Allen can play with one hand much better than most drummers can play with two. Buy it! I bought it in a second hand shop in London a month ago ... and it is my everyday life soundtrack. I hope you guys out there reading this will agree with
